Dear all Friends of Toby’s Tents

Toby Edwards, founder of Toby’s Tents passed away just before Christmas. It has taken some time to process and put together the words to write this. We wanted to reach out to our facebook community to update everyone.

Toby Edwards started Toby’s Tents in 1990’s after helping a friend with his tent business. He started with 1 tent and a few tables and built the business from the ground up. After several years, the business started thriving and became a premier tent business in the Sacandaga and surrounding areas. Jason Briskie started with the company in the summer of 2004 and quickly became the right-hand man and close friend. In January of 2025 Toby decided to retire. Jason then decided to start Toby’s tents and more to keep the legacy Toby started going. He will now be continuing the tent rental and event planning business the way Toby would have wanted it. Providing beautiful tents for all occasions will continue to remain the primary goal for the company.

We at Toby’s Tents and More appreciate everyone’s business and hope to keep pace even without our lighthearted and beloved friend. We plan to continue the legacy that Toby Edwards built, one tent at a time.
