A Message from George & Eva Damian and the Entire Damian Family

As we say farewell to the Northfield Ballroom, our hearts are filled with gratitude.

The Northfield Ballroom was built in the early 1980s by Eva’s father, Bernie Hughes, because he wanted a place to dance. What began as his vision became a place where generations gathered to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments. For more than the past two decades, the ballroom has been owned and operated by George & Eva Damian, together with our family, loyal employees, dedicated event staff, and many individuals who have become more like family than coworkers.

We are deeply thankful for our loyal customers and the countless memories created within these walls. It has been an honor to welcome hundreds of guests every Friday during Lent for our Fish Fry, and to host hundreds of weddings, proms, holiday parties, and other special events over the years.

Thank you for your trust, your support, and your continued patronage through the decades. We wish the new owners and operators nothing but success, and we encourage everyone to continue supporting the Northfield Ballroom and hosting your celebrations here under new ownership. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our journey.
