It’s probably pretty obvious that we’re a lot better at working behind-the-scenes at weddings and events than we are at consistently posting on social media. So much for our 2026 goal of being in front of the camera more 😂!

Sometimes the most simple beauty is the most beautiful ✨

Reflecting on last weekend’s wedding, it was such a reminder that “less is more” can still feel incredibly full—full of meaning, intention, and love. Emma and Dan chose to surround themselves only with their nearest and dearest, creating a space that felt warm, grounded, and deeply personal from start to finish.

Every detail told a piece of their story in the most effortless way—from The Toby signature drink 🐾, named after their beloved pup, to the past love stories display that honored the journies of their loved ones that brought them all to this moment, and so many other thoughtful touches woven throughout the day.

Nothing overdone. Nothing loud. Just genuine, heartfelt beauty in its truest form.

It was truly an honor to play a small part in Emma and Dan’s day and witness how powerful simplicity can be when it’s rooted in love 🤍

You should feel excited, comfortable, and confident in the team you choose—these are the people who will bring your day to life and be by your side through it all 💛

And while budget is absolutely important (we get it!), allow yourself a little flexibility where you can. Investing in the vendors you truly love—the ones you trust and connect with—can make all the difference in your overall experience and how your day comes together.

Late-night snack or no?
Signature drinks?

Kids’ meals?

If you’re going plated, one thing we absolutely love: having salads preset on the tables. 🥗 It keeps the energy flowing, gives guests something to enjoy right away, and avoids that “we’re all just waiting” lull before entrées hit the table. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference in the overall guest experience.

And while we’re talking dinner… a gentle reminder from your wedding pros: please don’t forget about your vendors. The photographers, DJs, planners, and coordinators are usually working 8–12+ hours straight. Having a designated spot and a hot meal ready for them during dinner helps keep everyone fueled and serving you at their very best all night long. 💛

💔 Our Hearts Are Heavy — But Love Must Prevail 💔

So much heartbreak in our state of Minnesota and across our country right now. We’re witnessing violence, loss, and division that is hurting families, communities, and our shared sense of safety and humanity.

Recently here in Minnesota, there have been tragic and shocking incidents that have shaken so many of us:
• A federal Border Patrol operation in Minneapolis resulted in the death of a local ICU nurse, a person known for caring for others — sparking grief, outrage, and deep questioning about how we treat one another and how law enforcement is used in our communities.
• This is occurring amid broader controversies and protests over the handling of a previous fatal shooting by an ICE agent in January, which has led to calls for justice, transparency, and accountability.
• These events follow other violent tragedies in Minnesota in recent years — including mass shootings that have taken innocent lives and left families forever changed.

And this pain is not isolated to our state. Across the U.S., too many families are grieving after senseless acts of violence — in schools, neighborhoods, and places of worship. The grief we feel in Minnesota reflects a broader sorrow felt by millions of Americans.

💛 Now more than ever, we need to stand together.
We need to remind one another that:
✨ Love is stronger than hate
✨ We all bleed red
✨ No one is better than another
✨ We all come from ancestors who sought hope and a better life
