We're less than 2 weeks away from 2026....whaaaaat?

As we all start mentally prepping for whatever the coming days & weeks hold, we want to 𝑻𝑯𝑨𝑵𝑲 𝒀𝑶𝑼 𝑨𝑳𝑳 for showing up to support e̲a̲c̲h̲ ̲o̲t̲h̲e̲r̲ throughout this past year. We are so honored to be witnesses to your creative energy, mutual aid efforts, art practices, and community building.

𝑻𝑯𝑶𝑼𝑺𝑨𝑵𝑫𝑺 of dollars (& consciousnesses) have been raised via the conduit of Sub Rosa - and redistributed into our communities because of you. We are so grateful. 🙏

We know that times are increasingly tough / rough / unstable (an understatement), but we hope to continue to weather the storms in community with you all. Please come visit us whenever you can... unfortunately, we have to sell things to survive, so please -- you simply must keep coming to see us🌹

Ya’ll….It has been a year.

As one cycle closes and another opens, we will make space for breath, reconnection, and renewal. New Year’s Eve at SR will be a moment to gather, release the weight we’ve carried, and begin again.

We are so deeply honored to welcome on NYE to 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌-𝒊𝒏 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑻𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒔.

There are no words to communicate how humbled and excited we are to have Malik play in our space. His presence, and this night, can be described in no other terms than as a gift to our community.

Malik promises to be reaching into the deeper corners of his archive: jazz, rare groove, warm soul, and deep house. All music that he promises you won’t hear anywhere else.

There will be 𝗡𝗢 Top 40s / EDM / party anthems. We’re not bringing you spectacle, but rather a curated and intentional night rooted in deep musical lineage; 𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 + 𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒇𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒓, 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒆𝒕 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔.

If we sell 50 suits, I will post a slow-motion video of me running in said suit (this will fulfill a request made by at last weekend's event, where the suit made its public debut.)

We all collectively hit the jackpot with this Scorpio sun, Libra rising, flower - loving, nature - revere-ing, published poet, tender - hearted, loud - laughing, fiercely authentic, honest, eternal optimist of a human aka Rebecca.

Mark your calendars! The most cherished (and sorely missed) chefs the Valley has ever known will be taking up residency at Sub Rosa for three weeks in October!

On October 16th, 23rd & 30th, will be debuting her 𝕍𝔼𝔾𝔸ℕ (& GF!) ℙ𝕆ℝ𝕂 𝔹𝔸𝕆 𝔹𝕌ℕ𝕊 along with some insanely delicious sides that will BLOW YR MIND!!! **If you had a chance to get yr hands on one of their vegan pork bánh mìs last summer, you know what I'm talking about!!**

If you don't already know, Unmi Abkin is a five-time semifinalist for the James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef Northeast. She has opened and operated three restaurants in MA and has spent the last three years in Paris, where she began reimagining some of the food she is known for into plant-forward MASTERPIECES. We are honored to welcome her back to the Valley, and she is ready to blow yr minds!

Unmi is the co-author of 𝑪𝒖𝒓𝒓𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑲𝒊𝒎𝒄𝒉𝒊 along with her husband, Roger Taylor. She has taken inspiration from her childhood in Korea, Mexico and California and is best known for food that is both balanced and vibrant, with a clarity of flavor that is uniquely her own.

We all know the demand for good food in the Valley is HiGH, but the fan base for Unmi's food is unmatched! No tickets, no reservations - just your love of bao.

Two years ago today, our friends and our friends' friends bought tickets to a dance party fundraiser in the empty space that would become Sub Rosa just six months later (the walls were painted, that's about it)...

For those who don't know, in August/ September 2023, we ran a month-long, 2:1 matching fundraiser with a goal of raising 20K from our community so that we could receive 40K from a state-funded small biz program. 375 people donated to help us reach our goal! We bought most of our furniture and bar equipment with this $$$ and to this day, our only investors in this project are the folks who gave to that fundraising campaign.... AND those of you who show up to support us / share space / have drinks whenever you can. We truly wouldn't exist without your belief in us - from before we opened and everyday since.

We know the world is continuing to get more and more difficult to navigate - which makes it continuously more strange 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒅𝒂𝒚 in order to keep holding space / keep our doors open. We hope you know that we are filled with immense gratitude for all of y'all who show up for SR whenever you can ❤️‍🔥

Today, on the two-year anniversary of our first-ever dance party, we want to THANK & for putting your reputations on the line / your names on the bill and calling the bodies to the dance floor to help booooost our fundraising efforts. We are forever grateful for how y'all showed up and breathed life and vibes into the space. We love y'all. Should we do it again?🌹

A feast for your eyes and hearts and bodies all weekend long.

Contrary to the rumors around town, summer is NOT almost over! The deep summer colors are just starting to show off in our field... but the daylight is dimming and we don't have to think too hard to know what's on the horizon.

Let's be in the now together - come immerse yourselves in our gorgeous harvests.

Everyday, we are feeling so beyond privileged to grow food and flowers and swim in clean water and feast our eyes on the rolling hills and listen to the midsummer bugs and have cool weather at night and use our bodies to get around and listen to music and see our people.

Everyday forever, we will be collecting donations for -- we can even make you an ice cream float with the Pal Cola. Thank you to all y'all who take your sodas to-go and/or add them onto your cocktail order as if you're the thirstiest person ever...

Come be with us and be sad and angry and confused about how much more devastating everything keeps getting....all while we live in the most beautiful place.
