I had a great time providing meals for a lovely family that came to town from TX for their son’s graduation from Lehigh University. They arrived Friday and went straight to the baccalaureate, so I was able to deliver a Mediterranean dip platter and grilled chicken kebabs for them when they officially arrived at their beautiful air bnb on the Musconetcong River.
Then Saturday night, they had the chef’s experience where I made their 3 course dinner while they enjoyed one more night of quality family time. We started with pajeon (Korean scallion pancakes) for the appetizer, then for the main course I grilled up a batch of Bulgogi (Korean marinated beef) and served it over rice noodles with all the toppings- pickled radishes, spicy Asian cucumbers, pickled cabbage, fresh mint, cilantro, and basil, chopped peanuts, and homemade chili oil for an extra kick!
Dessert even came with a little Asian inspiration… I made personal sized pavlovas topped with yuzu lemon curd, fresh whipped cream and berries, and a beautiful nasturtium flower!
