After four unforgettable years, this will officially be Papelón’s last season at this location. 💛

This decision isn’t because our community stopped showing up. You have shown up for us in ways we could have never imagined. But the reality is that running a restaurant on the Boardwalk comes with a financial burden that has become increasingly difficult to sustain.

One thing that has always mattered to us is keeping Papelón affordable for families visiting and living in Wildwood. We don’t want the answer to rising costs to simply be raising our prices year after year.

So while we are saying goodbye to this location, we are NOT saying goodbye to Papelón. We will continue with catering, events, and pop-ups while we figure out what our next home base will look like.

We are incredibly grateful for every family that ate at our tables, every person who tried an arepa for the first time, every familiar face that came back each summer, and every memory we were lucky enough to make on the Wildwood Boardwalk.
Being part of the Boardwalk experience has meant more to us than we can put into words.

We don’t know exactly what Papelón will look like over the next couple of years, but we’re excited to find out. ❤️
This chapter is ending. Papelón isn’t.

Not many people know this, but everything you see at Papelón starts from scratch.

If someone had told me five years ago that I'd be making Puerto Rican alcapurrias every week as a Venezuelan, I honestly would've laughed. Now they're one of our customers' favorite items.

Every week, our small team hand-makes over 500 fritters: Alcapurrias, Pastelitos, Sorullos, Empanadas, Tequeños, and more. Nothing comes pre-made. We peel, season, mix, fold, fry, bake, and prep it all ourselves.

Being a scratch kitchen means early mornings, long days, and a lot of love poured into every recipe. It's not always the easiest way to do things, but we believe you can taste the difference.

Thank you for supporting a small family business that takes pride in keeping these traditions alive. Every order truly means the world to us. ❤️
