Of the over 600 wedding ceremonies I've performed, it's the simple ones that always stick out in my mind. Eugenia and James were engaged in their 20s but never got married. Years later they reconnected and today they said I Do. I wish them so many years of love and happiness!

Folks always ask me if I know how many of the couples I've performed ceremonies for are still married. I've done a fair share for family and friends, so it's easy to keep tabs on them. But for the others, I can only hope they are still together. I recently received a nice email from a couple that can at least solve the mystery for them:
Hi Traci, I wanted to email you today because this day 18 years ago you married me and my husband in Clyde, Ohio, in his grandfather's backyard. We have been together since 2002, where we met in high school. And you married us in 2008. We are truly excited to celebrate 18 years today. Thank you for all you do for many couples.

About 15 years ago sunrise weddings were popular. When a groom-to-be asked if I could come to his home at 6 a.m. on a Thursday to perform a wedding ceremony before he and his bride left for the airport, I said sure! It helped that they live 5 minutes from me here in North Ridgeville. Congratulations to Isaiah and Kalyn...here's to many more happy years together.

What a perfect day for an outdoor wedding. Abby, Robert and their dogs were surrounded by family and friends as they exchanged vows at Sandy Ridge Reservation. Congratulations and many happy years together!

I received a call on Wednesday from a bride-to-be. She wanted to know if I could officiate a wedding on Friday. Sure!!
So in three days, Lisa and her sisters pulled everything together and Lisa and Dave exchanged vows. It was a testimony that family will always make things work!
