“Are we inviting everyone or just the ones we actually like?” 😂
If you’ve asked this while building your guest list, you’re my people.
Family is a huge part of my life — and it naturally flows into how I coordinate weddings. The same way I’m holding babies and fixing bow ties in my own crew is the same energy I bring to your day: calm, loving, and making sure everybody’s where they’re supposed to be.
When you work with me as your wedding coordinator, here’s what that looks like:
• I respect your family dynamics (yes, even the complicated ones).
• I create a timeline that keeps your parents, grandparents & VIPs feeling included.
• I help you set boundaries so your vision doesn’t get lost in a sea of opinions.
• I handle day-of questions so your family can just show up and enjoy.
• I treat your people like my people — with patience, kindness, and a little humor.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about the pretty details… it’s about the people you’re promising forever in front of. 💗
Tell me in the comments: are you planning a small family-only wedding or a big “the-more-the-merrier” celebration?

“Do we have to do that at our wedding?”
If you’ve asked this at least once…this one’s for you. 💍✨
Here’s the truth: you can honor any wedding traditions you want… or none at all.
Cultural, family, modern, made-up-on-TikTok – if it feels like you, it belongs. If it doesn’t, it’s a no.
As a South Florida Wedding Coordinator, I always tell my couples: your wedding isn’t a performance, it’s a reflection. 🥂
Here’s how to navigate traditions without the pressure:
• Choose what means something to you
Jumping the broom, a tea ceremony, breaking the glass, a unity shot – keep the moments that tell your story, not just what “everyone else does.”
• Skip what feels outdated or awkward
If a tradition makes you cringe, drains your energy, or clashes with your values, it’s totally okay to leave it off the timeline.
• Update a tradition with your own twist
Modern vows, a joint entrance, private first dance, or having grandma as your flower girl – same sentiment, fresh vibe.
• Set expectations early
If you’re changing or skipping a cultural or family tradition, loop in the key players ahead of time so there are fewer surprises and more support on wedding day.
• Remember: intentional > expected
The most memorable moments are the ones that feel genuine, not the ones done just to keep the peace or check a box.

Did your fiancé nail the proposal… or totally wing it and it still worked out perfectly? 💍😂
Since it’s National Proposal Day, I’m feeling all the feels over here thinking about how that one moment turns into planning an entire wedding and life together. Wild, right?
No matter how your story went down:
✨ In the living room in sweatpants
✨ On a beach at sunset
✨ At brunch with zero warning
✨ Or with a full photoshoot + surprise audience
…it’s the look you gave each other that changed everything. That’s the part I love most as a wedding coordinator — watching that “we really did this” energy follow you all the way to “I do.”
A few things I always tell my newly-engaged couples:
• You don’t need a “perfect” proposal to have a beautiful marriage.
• Screenshot every text, video, and reaction from that day — you’ll want them later.
• Start dreaming first, planning second. Then bring in a wedding coordinator to make it all feel way less overwhelming.
• Yes, you’re allowed to enjoy this season and NOT be stressed 24/7.
Now I want to hear from you ⬇️

💌 Tell me your proposal story in the comments! Was it planned, chaotic, emotional, funny? I’m Michalea Smith, your Florida coordinator bestie, and I’ll be over here swooning over your stories while helping couples plan their 2026–2027 weddings.

Is it really a wedding if the groom doesn’t shed at least one tear when he sees his bride? Because this moment right here… whew. 🥹
This is what I live for as a wedding coordinator — the second all the planning, emails, and timelines fade into the background and it’s just pure love walking down the aisle toward the person who’s been waiting for this day.
Here’s what you don’t see behind this shot:
✨ A carefully timed processional so the music hit right as she appeared
✨ Tissues quietly handed off to the groom (because we knew this was coming)
✨ A stress-free bride who didn’t have to think about a single detail, just soaking it all in
✨ A timeline built so they had space to feel this moment, not rush through it
If you’re dreaming of a day where you and your partner can fully be in the moment — tears, butterflies, all of it — that’s exactly what I help create as your South Florida wedding coordinator.

“Wait… my wedding coordinator doesn’t set up chairs AND run to Target AND sign vendor contracts?” 🤯
Let’s clear this up, bestie.

If you’re planning a 2026–2027 wedding and wondering what a wedding coordinator actually does on wedding day (vs what we don’t do), here’s the breakdown you need to know ⬇️

✨ What I DO as your South Florida Coordinator:
• Handle all the logistics — I’m the point of contact + timeline traffic cop so you’re not answering 47 questions in your getting-ready robe
• Manage ceremony details, guests, vendors + those “fun” legal items so everything runs smoothly
• Take care of final touches: place cards, signage, guest book, making sure everything looks how you pictured
• Put out fires behind the scenes so you never even know there was smoke
• Oversee end-of-night clean-up + vendor tips so you can head to your after-party, not the broom closet

🚫 What I DON’T do (and why it matters):
• Heavy manual labor like full setup/breakdown (that’s a venue/production team job)
• Transport wedding gifts or cards — huge liability + risk for everyone
• Take over other vendors’ roles (serving food, bussing tables, etc.)
• Run personal errands or be the clean-up crew
• Sign contracts or make payments to vendors on your behalf

Knowing these do’s + don’ts helps you build the right team and realistic expectations so your wedding day feels calm, supported, and organized—not chaotic.

💬 Curious if what you’re expecting from “wedding management” is actually included?

Navy + yellow for a wedding palette? Say less. 💙💛
If you’ve been low-key stressing about how to make your wedding feel modern, bold, and still timeless… this mood board is your sign to stop playing it safe.
Navy blue, bright yellow, and a touch of gold give:
* rich, moody romance (hello, evening ceremonies + candlelight 👀)
* vibrant, joyful pops of color that photograph beautifully on Black brides and grooms
* a perfect balance of luxe + nontraditional (jumpsuits, bold florals, statement shoes – I see you)
* endless options for mixing textures: satin gowns, velvet suits, metallic chargers, and sleek acrylic details
Your wedding doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s Pinterest board to be “bridal.”
It just has to look like you.
✨ South Florida + Palm Beach couples, if you’re dreaming up a navy, yellow, and gold moment for your 2026–2027 wedding, I’d love to help bring it to life.

💭 Real talk: when should you actually hire a wedding coordinator? I get this question ALL the time, and honestly, the answer might surprise you...
Here’s the thing—most couples think they need to wait until they’re “ready” or have everything figured out. But plot twist: the earlier you bring us in, the smoother your entire planning journey becomes!
Here’s when to make the call: • 12+ months out: We can help you create a realistic timeline and budget from day one • 6-9 months out: Perfect timing to lock in vendors and start detailed planning • 3 months out: We can still work magic, but it’s crunch time mode • Last minute: Yes, we can help, but expect limited vendor options and higher stress levels • Day-of only: We’ll execute your vision flawlessly, but won’t be part of the planning process
The sweet spot? Honestly, as soon as you’re engaged and have a rough date in mind. We’re not just day-of managers—we’re your planning partner, stress-reliever, and the person who remembers all those tiny details you’ll inevitably forget.
Plus, having a south Florida wedding coordinator who knows the local vendors, venues, and weather patterns? Game changer for your 2026 or 2027 celebration! ☀️

Who says Valentine’s Day is just for couples? 💅✨
Your bride squad deserves some serious love too! Here are my favorite ways to celebrate Galentine’s Day with your girls before the big day:
🧖‍♀️ Spa Day Vibes - Face masks, mani-pedis, and zero wedding stress allowed 🫖 Tea Party Elegance - Channel your inner duchess with fancy cups and gossip sessions 🎨 Sip & Paint Night - Create masterpieces (or hot messes) with wine in hand 🏰 Venue Tour + Lunch - Make venue hunting fun with your personal hype squad 🧺 Dreamy Picnic - Blankets, charcuterie, and all the wedding planning chats 👩‍🍳 Baking Class Fun - Learn to make treats together (practice for the wedding cake tasting?)
Because planning a wedding is so much sweeter when you’ve got your ride-or-die crew by your side!

Ever wonder why your wedding day rehearsal is just as important as the ceremony itself? 💭
Here’s the real talk: your rehearsal isn’t just a “nice to have”—it’s where the magic of coordination happens! As a certified professional Palm Beach wedding coordinator, I’ve seen too many weddings where the wedding party looks lost, timing feels off, and stress levels are through the roof.
That’s exactly why working with a Florida wedding coordinator makes all the difference:
• We choreograph every entrance, exit, and transition so your bridal party knows exactly where to go • Perfect the timing so your processional flows seamlessly (no awkward pauses!) • Coach your wedding party on posture, positioning, and where to look during the ceremony • Work out all the little details—like who holds the rings and when to step forward • Create a calm, confident energy so everyone feels prepared and excited
The result? Your wedding party walks down that aisle with confidence, your ceremony flows beautifully, and you get to actually enjoy your moment instead of worrying about logistics.
Your South Florida wedding coordinator isn’t just there for the big day—we’re there to make sure everyone knows their role so you can focus on what really matters: saying “I do” to your person. 💕
