Confessions... For the last 12ish years I've been shooting portraits professionally. Before that it was mostly what I was interested in and shot for fun. Over the years I have occasionally thought 'I need to spend more freetime shooting other things, like landscapes'. Because as far as technique and tricks and skill goes, it's actually all very different. But I'm busy man! haha. SOOOO since things are slow all over the world but especially in event photography, lol! I've been doing other things. Like baking. But also other kinds of photography. I wasn't prepared for the Pink Supermoon the other night but I decided last minute I was gunna go try and take a shot anyway. And so I did. Lol. If I'd been a bit more prepared and in a good location at the right time I probably could have taken a much more interesting shot, but it was still kinda fun. And WOW, what a cool moon, so fun to see the dark craters with the naked eye.

Since the schools closed and so many things shut down I've really felt for the college and high school seniors who don't...

Since the schools closed and so many things shut down I've really felt for the college and high school seniors who don't have a redo on a lot of this. Who have lost or will lose their final concerts, musicals, tournaments, trips and things that they'd been working for so long. Very disappointing! If ya'll want to do spring blossom senior pics, which maybe be in just a few weeks here, and school is still out, I'm certain we can make that happen without compromising our social distancing. We can stay 6 feet apart the entire time. :) Just let me know if blossoms are what you want. I can't get back any of those other things, but I can get you blossoms. *Pic from April 2019

Sorry I've been MIA. I got a new job! Kidding! Well sort of. Myself along with many of the moms I know in the industry and out have just become full time homeschool teachers! Lol.
Teachers, let me take this opportunity to tell you how amazing you are! I don't know how you do it! My first grader in particular......😱

Time for another ... this one from the fall of '18. It's always fun to have a model who can just enjoy the process and take it seriously, and Sophie was a fun model! And the hair is fire! (High School Seniors and their parents, send me an email or text about pictures, even i you wanna wait for blossoms we can get you in the books and get that off the graduation checklist!)

I decided I need to partake in more Throwback Thursdays, or Fridays(?) or whatever it is these days. So maybe for the next little while I'll do Senior portraits... because you know what the wild thing is?! We're coming up on that time again.... Yeeeeesh. I swear I feel like school just starts then my kids bring home the paper that says it's 100 days of school please send me to school with 100 cotton balls or whatever...Plus it's about this time of year everyone gets antsy to remember the sun... it always comes guys, I promise it comes.... So here is Tabitha on a day that looks gloriously warm, but to be honest was a hair chiillllly. Ha. Enjoy!
