Hello friends and neighbors! I know this post is late in coming (post-election)! We are so humbled by the overwhelming support for the YES vote on selling the Old Library. The town manager defined it as a MANDATE! Whoa.

Truth told, I needed a couple of days to let this all sink in (and as administrator of this page I needed a detox from social media)! It has been a busy few months of outreach for our ideas and vision for the revived Old Library—we are amazed at the power of the personal connections we have made—this was a true “grass roots” effort.

This is only the beginning! Thank you so much for your support and confidence. WE did this, all of us together.

Get out and Vote! YES ON QUESTION 1! Tell your peeps! Remind them that today is the day!

re: The Old Library Project
Note that project principal Eve Clulow's grandfather purchased Newport's historic Vernon House in 1964 and financed significant restoration. Eve's mother donated the house to the Newport Restoration Foundation upon her death in 2009. Eve thus comes from a clan with a very strong, proven, demonstrated devotion to the preservation of historic structures. Vote YES! And PLEASE SHARE.
