Looking back on last week’s beautiful spring evening at Smith Farm Gardens. Last Tuesday, I had the honor of coordinating the A Brighter Way 2nd Annual Garden Benefit, a fundraiser supporting inclusive summer camp scholarships for children with autism and related neurodevelopmental conditions. Guests enjoyed light bites, a beautifully curated grazing table, cocktails and mocktails, all while taking in the stunning grounds of Smith Farm Gardens.

It was truly wonderful to see such an incredible network of vendors come together in support of such a meaningful cause.

Ashley and Sam, thank you for allowing me to be a part of such an incredible event! I’m already looking forward to next year and many more to come.

I may be a few days late, but Lerman Wedding and Events just celebrated its first birthday!

In early 2025, I finally took the leap and followed my dream of starting my own wedding planning company. Ever since I was little, I’ve loved weddings, the idea of marrying your best friend and throwing an unforgettable celebration to honor that love.

Growing up in an Italian household, big family gatherings were the norm. That environment sparked my passion for bringing people together gathering around a table, sharing incredible food, and making guests feel truly at home. That passion ultimately led me to pursue a career in the service industry, doing what I genuinely love.

I earned my degree in Hospitality and Tourism with a concentration in Event Management, always knowing I wanted to build something of my own. Over the past nine years, I’ve trained across nearly every aspect of a wedding day. From service staff to coordination, I’ve gained hands-on experience in almost every role. That well-rounded background allows me to anticipate details from every angle and create a seamless, stress-free experience for my couples.

I wouldn’t be where I am today without the incredible support of my husband, family, friends, coworkers, mentors, and past couples. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all, it means everything to me to be able to do what I love.

Let’s be honest, planning a wedding can feel like a lot. But not everything you see on Pinterest is essential. Here are 9 things you might think you need... but totally don’t.

✨ 1. Wedding Favors That Get Left Behind Cute? Maybe. Memorable? Rarely. Most guests forget them or toss them later. If you really want to do favors, go for something edible, useful, or meaningful, or skip them altogether. No one will notice.
✨ 2. A Second Dress “Just Because” A reception outfit change is fun, but not mandatory. Plenty of brides stay in their gown all night because they love it. Do what feels right for you.
✨ 3. A Massive Wedding Party More people means more opinions, more drama, and more coordination. A smaller crew, or no wedding party at all, can make for a more chill, intimate vibe.
