There were SO many days we thought about throwing in the towel on building our house. Years of waiting for life to align just perfectly, so we could proceed with this dream. Days turned to weeks and weeks to years. We would see one step forward and were met with two steps backwards countless times. Seeing the first wall up on the house made it all worth it. It is a feeling I will never forget 🥹

It’s going to take a minute getting used rectangles instead of squares on instagram. I do appreciate the look of it and how it lines up better with how we capture photos. But also, the profile bio changes are odd too. The text isn’t centered anymore, so I am wondering if they are going to be adding something next to the stats? I’m weird with change. I never particularly like it. Do you like the new changes?

I found this gold mirror on marketplace for $30 & ended up leaving with a silver one too! They both need to be cleaned up but they are beautiful. And bonus, I got lots of nuzzles from the sweetest boy 🐎 so we are going to call that it a major win for marketplace today!

Dopamine; a sense of temporary pleasure.

How to we achieve that?

Curate a dopamine menu!

Make a list of the things you enjoy - it should be small, actionable things that make you feel good.

Now add as many of them to your day, week or month as you can.

It’s similar to the term romanticize your life.

The goal is the essentially the same - finding ways to achieve fulfillment and joy in the day to day. Instead of always looking forward to the next big thing, find small ways you can improve your everyday.

What are a few things you can do that actually make you want to get out of bed in the morning?

How can you make grocery shopping more enjoyable?

Schedule time to get out in nature and walk or go for a hike.

Create a nightly skincare routine that leaves you glowing and bright eyed in the morning.

Small, simple adjustments make a huge impact on the way you look at life & the best part is, it changes your mindset to appreciate smaller things. A little stop and smell the roses kind of moment if you will 🙃
