Visit Mildred L. Terry Public Library tomorrow at 1:00pm and share in a walk back to 1963; with a discussion of the family dynamics of the Watsons family in “The Watsons go to Birmingham” by Christopher Paul Curtis.

Directed by Kenny Leon. With Bryce Clyde Jenkins, Harrison Knight, Skai Jackson, Anika Noni Rose. The Watsons set out on a family road trip where their experiences give them a newfound courage to stand up for what is right and helps them grow stronger as a family in the process.

A week has passed since we met in Daytona Beach, Florida for the Gloster/James/Saunders Family Reunion. I can't tell you enough how wonderful it was to see all who were able to come!! Your presence meant everything to me and we did have fun! We met at the Golden Corral in Port Orange, Florida for the banquet, and the staff was very accomodating in seeing that our visit was all that we expected and more. The food was delicious and we fared sumptiously. While we enjoyed our dinner, we shared precious memories, highlighting the eldest among us. Reuben James and Christina Campbell blessed us with their presence and the Memorial Day Week-end couldn't have been more rewarding than having spent it with beloved family members. In fact, our family is always blessed to get together for all occasions, whether at weddings, graduations, and cook-outs. As we often say, all who can come, come on and we will have a great time! Until we meet again, I love you and look forward to seeing you soon.
