It’s been a while! Our website went down for some reason and is broken and we’ve been out straight and it felt like getting people their images was taking precedence over social media and fixing websites! But…we are officially caught up and I wanted to share this picture of my little brother who was married in November and we couldn’t be happier for them!

I’ve had a bit of pandemic block…when Covid hit I think I had a bit of an identity crisis! What we had devoted our life’s work to, weddings, kind of fell out from under us as we knew them…they got smaller, rescheduled, cancelled. They happened in backyards and on a smaller scale. There were masks and no masks…and both made me feel a bit like will they want a picture of this? I was lost…and then something happened at ‘s wedding and I found myself weepy on the dance floor! It felt normal—people were able to be vaccinated and able to be unmasked and seeing an open dance floor made me cry happy tears! This was back in May and I haven’t been back here to get my Instagram butt in gear…but this a promise that I am back! Stay tuned for this year’s weddings….and perhaps some flash backs to 2020 once I don’t feel so raw!! The events were beautiful and the way people honed their focus and made weddings still a priority really helped me remember just how important what we do is!

We are running a couple senior portrait specials this year as we watch wedding after wedding reschedule for 2021. We've always had very limited weekend availability for these sessions, but this year looks very different and we are excited to make the most of it! Seniors schedule their photos between August and the yearbook deadline which tends to be late October depending on your school. Shoot us a message to grab a spot on the calendar! *$50 early booking discount does not apply to the backyard special as that is already discounted.

We felt the same giddy excitement that they were able to pull this off! My heart goes out to all the brides and venues and vendors that were cancelled in the past four months as we all figure out how to safely navigate the world again...I’m hopeful that even if things look a little different, in the end having each other is the most important part of the “wedding” day.

I knew I missed weddings...but actually getting to get back to them was exciting! When you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. and Nate I think this quarantine has taught people how to truly appreciate things...the small things and the magical things like wedding!
