Well Friends, it is time to say goodbye to Hood’s Florist after 61 years of service to the North Charleston community. It has been a long week with all the packing and moving to vacate the premises by the New Year. These pics are from Sunday, when the family began moving out boxes and equipment, and took down the shelves.. It has been a long process, but it is pretty much done. Our family is exhausted after this week’s work, and are ready for a break. We are looking forward to a slower pace next week! I won’t share pics of the empty building, but here is a few of my floral arrangements from past weeks for your enjoyment.
So, we say thank you to our loyal, wonderful customers for all your support, encouragement, well wishes, and patronage. Quite a few have come by just to say goodbye, give a few hugs, and tell us we shall be missed. We have done a lot of reminiscing these past weeks! It is so heartwarming to have so many friends in the community who respect and appreciate all that we have done over the years. We are truly blessed as a family, for the support, love, and encouragement we have for each other, as well as from our friends and customers.
Being a fixture on Dorchester Road for so long, many believed our flower shop would be here forever, but unfortunately this is where the road for us now ends. It has been a long journey for my mother, from its beginning to its end, but she has enjoyed every bit of it, and says she shall miss the customers the most. My mother and I both enjoy the art of floral arranging, and we are glad we had the opportunity to share it with you. It has been our pleasure to assist each and every one of you all these years! ❤️ So long, North Charleston! God bless
