One day the name of my memoir will be, “Lessons learned at 4:00 AM.” Ha. Smoked my first whole brisket overnight. 16 pounder. Definitely walking away with some notes for next cook, but ultimately happy with the result.

God is awesome! I had been passively watching Facebook Marketplace waiting for a good deal on an XL Big Green Egg. Last night I picked up a VERY LIGHTLY used one with a bunch of unused accessories for less that half their value!!! So excited to cook on this. Stay tuned!

One year ago I made a commitment before God to honor, cherish, sustain, and love you with all my heart. This is a commitment I took and continue to take very seriously. And I joy in knowing you held and hold your commitment to me before God in the same high regard.

We have kids and new homes and first houses and growing businesses and retirement and so many other milestones to look forward to. But knowing I get to hit each one side by side, standing on God’s Word with you is where the true excitement of it all comes from.

I love you with all my heart. I can’t wait to see what God continues to do for us in this next year of marriage and all the many years to come. Happy Anniversary My Love!
