The Park-McCullough has served many roles during its 160 year history: home to governors, host to a president, working farm, wedding venue, concert hall, and museum, to name just a few. But the identity that resonates most with us right now is: front porch for the community. On this Giving Tuesday, please consider making a contribution to our Annual Fund. Only with your support can this special place continue to stand as our community’s front porch and gathering place for generations to come. Head to https://www.parkmccullough.org/annual-fund-2025 to make your annual fund contribution today.

Nothing like a time-lapse to illustrate archives/collections inventory efforts! Thank you, Cianna! Park-McCullough has adopted CatalogIt to digitize our collection and no better an individual to launch the process than Cici! Seen here: inventory efforts in the nursery. Congratulations to the Roquettes! Fantastic playing, Susan, Lynne, and Vince! The Roquettes were 2025's winning team. It was another tremendous season for the Croquet League. To all the teams—only some of which are pictured here—the Park-McCullough is proud that you're carrying on this very special tradition. And speaking of special: Robin, thank you for your ongoing, steadfast support of the game, the players, and the host. You make it all great!

A little about Park-McCullough

The Park-McCullough House is one of the finest, most significant, and best preserved Victorian Mansions in New England. It is an important example of a country house in the Second Empire Style and incorporates architectural features of the Romantic Revival style that were popular at the time. To a great extent, the House retains the integrity and impact of its original design. Built in 1864-65 by attorney and entrepreneur Trenor Park, the House was designed by Henry Dudley, a prolific New York architect of the popular firm of Diaper and Dudley.

The house, a 35-room mansion built by skilled artisans over the course of 18 months, is a prime example of Second Empire design, and represents a specific period of architectural history in the United States. Influenced both by British opulence and natural patterns, architects, designers and artists in the Victorian era brought together many different themes with a special attention to detail

Our cultural programming happens in (almost) every season. On our grounds and in our structures, we host a classical music series, a summer croquet league, membership meetings, theater productions, readings, dinners, music camps, and other public events.

Green manicured lawns, radiant flowers and topiary, makes the house one of the most verdant places to hold your wedding or event. For weddings, this Victorian mansion is regarded among the most romantic places to tie the knot.
