Thank you to everyone who played in, volunteered at, and cheered on this year’s 2026 Coos Bay vs. North Bend Softball Fundraiser! What an incredible example of our community coming together to support a meaningful cause.

We are so grateful to everyone who came out to honor Ian Spalding and to those who donated from near and far. Your generosity and support will make a lasting impact through the Ian Spalding Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The 2026 July Jubilee Ambassador Court did an outstanding job representing North Bend throughout the three-day celebration. They attended a variety of events, engaged with community members, and gained a deeper appreciation for our city’s history and traditions. From assisting with the Honored Citizen Awards and participating in the Downtown Discovery Tour to selling 50/50 raffle tickets, they truly embraced every opportunity.

We look forward to seeing them continue representing the youth of North Bend at community events throughout the coming year.

A special shout-out to our coordinator, Vicki Ericson, for her outstanding leadership and dedication. She does an incredible job, and we are so grateful for everything she does!

2026 July Jubilee Jaunt Race Results! There were 124 runners this year and the weather was perfect for the occasion. Thank you again to Mason and Juul Insurance for organizing this event and to Ashworths Market and Deli for supplying the finish line refreshments. Next year's race will be on July 17th, we can't wait to see you!

What a fun day so far! But the day isn’t over yet.

Don’t miss the Coos Bay - City Government vs. City of North Bend - Oregon Softball Game tonight at 6:00 p.m. at Home of the NB Bulldogs / Clyde Allen Baseball Park.

Admission is a suggested $5 donation, with all proceeds benefiting the Ian Spalding Memorial Foundation.

There will also be amazing raffle baskets and an incredible silent auction featuring Portland Trail Blazers floor seats and a parking pass, generously donated by LaMont Swinson of Director’s Mortgage. The package is valued at approximately $3,000!

Bidding is now open and will close Sunday, July 19, at 10:00 p.m. To place a bid, text (541) 740-2778.

Come hungry, too Bubba's Smash Burgers & DOGS food truck will be on-site serving up delicious food.

Congratulations to the 2026 July Jubilee Ambassador Court!

On July 14, the 2026 Ambassador Court was officially crowned in the North Bend City Council Chambers. Congratulations to Karen Lu, Addy Horning, Amanda Chen, and Tania Aguirre as they begin a year of representing North Bend at community events.

Join us this Friday, July 17, at 4:00 p.m. at the North Bend Public Library for the July Jubilee Kickoff Celebration, featuring the Honored Citizen Awards, birthday cake, and your first opportunity to meet the new Ambassador Court as we celebrate North Bend’s 123rd Birthday.

The July Jubilee Ambassador Program is more than a tradition, it’s an opportunity for local youth to develop leadership skills, build confidence, serve their community, and represent North Bend throughout the year at civic events and celebrations. These outstanding students embody community pride, volunteerism, and the spirit of July Jubilee.

Come support these remarkable young leaders as they begin their ambassador journey. If you can’t attend in person, the coronation will also be livestreamed on the City’s YouTube channel.
