The New Horizons Band program involves more than 180 New Horizons Bands internationally—a program that is celebrating 23 years of music making. The New Horizons concept applies typically to seniors (but not exclusively) in large band programs, and often includes smaller ensembles such as stage bands, Dixie bands, orchestras and chamber music groups. ws people to play a musical instrument and perform in a band setting. New Horizons is living proof that, when it comes to learning to play a musical instrument, it truly is “never too late." By joining one of these groups, you can fill your life with music, new friends, fun, and accomplishment. Meetings are Monday (small ensemble) and Thursday evenings (full band) in the Catlett Music Center on the OU campus.
