Do you ever get stressed out from planning something (perhaps a wedding) to perfection? π
I hate to break it to you, but after working 130 weddings, something is bound to happen on your special day. It's not a matter of if something will happen, it's a matter of when. π
Let me give you an example. I just worked an outdoor wedding and we got rained on not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES! Each time we would just huddle up under a tent or wait by the house until the storm passed. And you know what? WE STILL HAD THE BEST TIME EVER! Here's why:
βοΈ The bride and groom still got married
βοΈ The entire family still got to celebrate together
βοΈ We all danced in the rain
βοΈ We threw the strict timeline out the window
βοΈ We dropped the word "wedding" and turned it into a boot scootin', co****le throwing, rain dancing, come as your are, backyard party, where two lovebirds committed themselves to each other
And you know what? In the end, the bride and groom got exactly what they wanted and we all had a blast along the way...by simply going with the flow and improvising along the way.
So all I'm saying is this: is it really worth all the pressure and stress we often force ourselves to endure...just to make sure the wedding or event is absolutely flawless?
Trust me, I've seen it all (the craziness)!
But sometimes simple (and making the best of what you've got) is best! π
