This engagement session at Garden of the Gods has easily been one of my favorites of the year.

Maybe it was the dramatic skies rolling over the mountains. Maybe it was the way the red rock formations seemed to glow as the sun dipped lower. But honestly, I think it was them.

The way they laughed together while wandering the trails, the quiet moments between poses, and the effortless way they fit into every landscape we explored made this session feel less like a photoshoot and more like an adventure.

Garden of the Gods always delivers incredible views, but what made these images special was the connection they brought with them. The scenery was breathtaking, but their love was what held my attention.

If the rest of 2026 looks anything like this session, it’s going to be an incredible year.

Three weeks in the NICU, and Colson has already shown us what true strength looks like. From the very beginning, he has been a fighter, overcoming challenges with a resilience that inspires everyone around him.

His mom and dad waited a long time for him, dreamed about him, prayed for him, and loved him long before they ever got to hold him in their arms. Every moment of this journey has made them even more grateful for the little boy who has already changed their lives forever.

Colson, you are stronger than you know, braver than you realize, and more loved than words can express.

Somewhere between the snack crumbs, sleepy eyes, tiny hands, and beautiful chaos… I found a new kind of joy.

Making short videos for mamas has become more than creativity for me — it’s become a pivot. A soft place to land. A way to tell stories that deserve to be remembered.

Because motherhood moves fast.
The little moments become memories before we even realize they mattered.

And I love turning those fleeting seconds into something mamas can hold onto forever.

What started as “just making videos” has slowly become one of the deepest joys of my life.

Baby Ava gave me the kind of smile that feels like sunrise in your chest—soft, golden, and impossible to hold onto for long, yet it lingers everywhere.

There’s something about newborns… the way they exist like tiny poems, still close to wherever we come from, still speaking in quiet magic and sleepy sighs. In her smile, I saw a whole universe unfolding—pure, unguarded, and endlessly gentle.

I think that’s why I love newborns so deeply. They remind me that the world begins again and again in the smallest moments—in a yawn, in a curl of tiny fingers, in a smile that doesn’t know anything except love.
