STABLING FOR THE WAR HORSE HORSE TRIALS:

Dawn Casey who lives 5 minutes from Feather Creek has 2 stalls left ($50/stall) and 2 large grass paddocks that can hold 3 horses each ($30/horse/paddock). If you want to enter and need a stall, please call Dawn directly at: 405.208.1937. You will pay her directly.

Please check StartBox for your entries.... PLEASE - If you have paid for stabling and have not sent your entry in, we need your entry in by Friday evening.

Remember: that if you want to school XC or Stadium - or ride a dressage test on Saturday the 20th - You HAVE TO have registered the schoolings' with Beth by closing date!

FALL SCHEDULE FOR FEATHER CREEK

WAR HORSE HORSE TRIALS AT FEATHER CREEK:
September 20th – Schooling
September 21st – Horse Trials

THE DERBY AT FEATHER CREEK:
November 15th – Schooling
November 16th - Derby

I wanted to let everyone know again, that I’ve moved the War Horse Horse Trials to September 21st, with the schooling day on September 20th.

As I mentioned before, the reason I moved the date is because of the congestion of the October schedule for Area V. I apologize to the Area IV riders who usually come down to Feather Creek for this show, I always appreciate you coming, thank you! It just seems that the calendar somehow always gets in the way!!... Even if I had chosen the weekend before or after September 20th & 21st…. I felt that it would be hard for Area IV to compete in back to back shows…. So again, I’m sorry for the overlapping dates. Hopefully next year will be a little better!! Good Luck to everyone at Heritage!!!

So, because of the date change of the Horse Trials, I will be postponing The Derby that was supposed to be on August 30th & 31st, to November 15th & 16th. I was concerned that we would wear out our incredible volunteers, with only 3 weeks between the two shows!!

DATE CHANGE FOR THE WAR HORSE SERIES AT FEATHER CREEK –
FROM OCTOBER 4th & 5th
TO
SEPTEMBER 20th & 21st

When I decided on the the October 4th & 5th date for the 2025 calendar year, I choose those dates to try to keep away from the recognized shows. Since there has been a change in the calendar with respect to Meadow Creek and now seeing a very busy schedule for October for Area V, I wanted to change the dates to help alleviate a congested month. So I am changing my dates to September 20th & 21st.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO RODE WITH MARY THIS WEEKEND!!

We actually had some pretty good weather considering it was supposed to be hotter than it was!! We all had a nice dinner with Mary (thank you Jen!!)... and the pool and the sprinkler pool were awesome!!! I hope everyone had a great time, and hope to see you in December!!!

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR COMING THIS PAST WEEKEND TO THE WAR HORSE SERIES AT FEATHER CREEK!!

I know how difficult it was for everyone to switch weekends (the amount of rain that Feather Creek received on the original show date, was 14"!), so I think it was the right call, but I know that it took a lot of effort on everyone's part to get here!! Thank you for making it work!!

I truly appreciate all of your patience with the the organizing team this weekend... because of the date change, we lost 9 of our 17 volunteers, so we were working on a skeleton crew!!! But they all were fantastic, and with a couple of times that were delayed, I hope all of you had a good weekend!! Thank goodness we had great weather!!

Thank you riders!!.. thank you volunteers!!.. Thank you to everyone who pitched in!!! As we always say, there's just no way we could do this without all of us working together!!!

CROSS COUNTRY will run from 9:00 - 4:00 - The medic and vet will be leaving at 4:00 - so everyone needs to be off the course by then.

STADIUM:
GAG - 1:00 - 1:30
Starter - 1:30 - 2:45
BN - 2:45 - 3:30
Novice - 3:30 - 4:00

A COUPLE OF REMINDERS FOR THIS WEEKEND!!

Do not contact me on entries.... Beth is the secretary and will fix what needs to be adjusted.

OCTA will be having their used tack sale this weekend...and Jen Burk will be bringing the tack from Cathy's Spanish Oak Mobile Tack store... all of their equipment will be under the carport of The Club House, so please stop by! The tack from Spanish Oak will be significantly reduced.. and OCTA's used tack sale will have some saddles and some more really fun stuff!!

Even if you're not competing, and are in the area, please drop by and look at all the halters, bridles, britches, saddles, etc.. that you can buy at truly remarkably reduced prices!!!! This is an opportunity to buy items at prices that you will not see again.....

POSTPONING WAR HORSE EVENT AT FEATHER CREEK UNTIL NEXT WEEKEND, APRIL 13th & 14th....

I'm very sorry that I'm having to postpone the show this weekend... The weather here has just been brutal, and last night we were only supposed to get light rain from 6am - 8am - and around 2 this morning, instead we got torrential rains and huge wind storms...

They have now updated the forecast to be the same for the whole weekend.... I'm so sorry to have to postpone... but talking with the officials this morning and showing them pictures... we can't even get into the dressage ring now! Obviously not safe for anyone to ride...

I've been contacting as many as I can... and will continue to call... but wanted to send this post out let everyone know as soon as possible ...
