If you know us- HELLO!

Allow me to {re}introduce myself➡️ I’m Andrea, owner of Blossom + Birch in Norfolk.👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼

I earned my business degree from Northeast Community College and loved Norfolk so much—I never left! I’m deeply passionate about small businesses, community connection + development, and celebrating life’s meaningful moments through flowers and shared experiences.

As a new entrepreneur, I wear about 27 hats on any given day. That means I’m the marketing, management, photographer, web designer, HR, customer relations, wedding expert, and florist. I also volunteer with Go Red for Women + CONNECT Norfolk, and you’ll often find me at Chamber events and community gatherings. When I’m not working or volunteering, I love to dive into a good book and do anything outdoors. (I’m actually by Valentine camping right now!) My most recent venture is my own flower farming! We’ll see how that experiment turns out🤭

In the last 2 1/2 years, I’ve met so many incredible people through Blossom + Birch! I am excited to see this business grow even further- but seeing how we are HELPING means even more to me.

It’s bittersweet to share that our amazing team member Stella is heading off to college! Today is her final day!

Stella has been our behind-the-scenes task master — the one who quietly makes sure things get done, keeps the studio flowing, and supports our team in ways you may not always see, but we always feel. Her empathy, caring heart, and willingness to help with anything have made her such an important part of Blossom + Birch.

We know she’s going to do incredible things in this next chapter, and while we’ll miss her, we’re so excited to see where her dreams take her.

🌿 Meet Tashina 🌿

We’re so excited to introduce the newest member of our Blossom + Birch crew — Tashina! She joined us this January, bringing with her a rich background in HR, but also something even more special — a deep commitment to slowing down, savoring life, and finding the beauty in it.

Tashina has turned her “slowdown” into pure art. You can now find her stunning photography paired with her own heartfelt quotes in our brand-new line of greeting cards, available right here in the studio. (We think they’re going to be your new favorites!) And that’s just the beginning — she’s already working on a few more creative projects that we can’t wait to share.

Around here, Tashina is the one who makes sure all the ideas swirling around actually cross the finish line. She keeps us on track when we’re being pulled in a million directions, pushes me to dream bigger, and helps make sure we deliver on our signature weird, funky, natural botanical style.

Grounded, mindful, and always seeing things from a fresh perspective, she makes our team stronger — and more inspired — every single day. When she’s not here, you’ll find her with her family, her dog Gus (her furry sidekick in life), exploring new places through travel, or writing and photographing the world around her.

We’re so grateful to have her energy, creativity, and heart in the Blossom + Birch family. 💛

🌿💐 REINTRODUCING KARINA — OUR OG 💐🌿

If you’ve been following us since the beginning, you might already know Karina—but it’s time for a reintroduction! She joined Blossom + Birch in February 2023—just one month after our Grand Opening—and has been a core part of our floral family ever since!

From the moment she walked through our doors, Karina has been the calm in our creative storm. With a degree in accounting and a natural knack for organization, she’s the one who keeps our team of big-hearted, flower-loving creatives on track. She’s the steady hand that helps us manage the beautiful chaos of running a busy floral studio—making sure orders flow smoothly, procedures get followed, and nothing important falls through the cracks.

Karina is also bilingual, so our Spanish-speaking customers can always feel right at home when she’s here—most Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays now!

When it comes to flowers, Karina isn’t afraid to mix so many different bold colors most of us wouldn’t think of—and her bold choices always turn out beautifully and pay homage to her heritage!

Beyond the shop, Karina is a wife, a mom to two small boys, and helps in her own family’s business. She’s generous to her core—always ready to help anyone she meets, with a special passion for supporting other moms. Around the studio, she’s loved just as much as she is at home.

💐✨ MEET STEPH ✨💐

It’s time you meet another one of our incredible team members here at the studio—Steph! She’s a part-time floral designer, but her creativity and heart make a full-time impact on our shop.

For Steph, this is her creative happy place—a space where she can bring to life everything from petite Joy Jars to dramatic arrangements. She loves working with bold, vibrant colors as much as she does dark and moody palettes, creating designs that feel just as dynamic as her personality.

While Steph is a wife and mom of two college-aged boys, she’s also the “mom” of our team—always looking out for us, surprising us with thoughtful little things, and offering her grounded, level-headed advice when we need it most. Her caring spirit goes beyond our team, too. She helps people who walk through our doors with more than just flowers—she’s an ear to listen, a kind word in a hard moment, + a helping hand for so many in our community.

Whether she’s wiring flowers for a wedding or whipping up a cheerful jar to brighten someone’s day, Steph pours her care and creativity into every single stem. 🌸

🌿💐 MEET KATI 💐🌿

It’s long overdue that we introduce you to one of our team members here at Blossom & Birch—Kati! She’s been part of our floral family for quite a while, and we’re so grateful for all the beauty + care she brings to our space.

Kati wears many hats here—she’s our go-to for plant care + questions (truly a plant whisperer 🌱), creates gorgeous floral designs, and is always ready to lend a helping hand to the team and our customers with patience + a smile.

Outside of the shop, Kati’s world is full of love—she and her husband have two wonderful kids, and she spends much of her free time tending to her own garden + landscaping. It’s no surprise that her favorite designs are filled with creative colors, lush tropical blooms, and layers of greenery—they feel just like her: vibrant and full of life.

Kati is also an incredibly talented artist! 🎨 She creates stunning art prints from her ink pressing and drawing work, and we carry them here in the studio! Her pieces are truly little stories told through art- much like the flowers we create here!

Even though Kati works very part time, her presence is felt every time she’s here.🌸
