"We had our wedding at Grand View Lodge, and it exceeded every single one of our expectations. From start to finish, the entire experience was absolutely incredible. Our wedding planner, Abby Shields, and her team went above and beyond. The venue itself was breathtaking, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful everything was. The attention to detail and seamless coordination from our planner allowed us to enjoy our day without a single worry. From the delicious food to the gorgeous views, Grand View Lodge provided everything we could have asked for and more. Our Grand View Lodge team is proud to support the GVL Thrive program, providing cancer patients in Minnesota a much needed respite.

Kellan Xiong was diagnosed with leukemia in 2024. Here is what his mom had to say about the stay:

Our family had a wonderful, relaxing weekend — our first getaway since Kellan’s diagnosis. It was a much needed break from clinic visits and treatments, and a chance for Kellan to just be a kid again.

He was full of energy and joy swimming for hours, fishing with patience and determination, and running along the beach with his siblings. His laughter and smile were constant, and seeing him so carefree filled our hearts.

Thank you to the GVL Thrive team for making this special time possible. You gave us more than a weekend away — you gave us joy, healing, and unforgettable memories centered around Kellan. We are truly grateful.

Our Grand View Lodge team is proud to support the GVL Thrive program, providing cancer patients in Minnesota a much needed respite.

Anaya was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on October 25, 2023. After having spent much of her short life in hospitals, this little girl and her family were ready for a vacation!

Here is what her dad had to say about the stay:
Thank you so much for the wonderful experience and warm hospitality during our recent stay. This trip was incredibly special for us — it was Anaya’s very first 3-day getaway after two long years. She had been unwell leading up to the trip, and although we took a bit of a risk, it turned out to be the best decision we could’ve made.

The moment we checked into the cabin, Anaya started feeling better — a huge “wow” moment for us as parents. From that point on, she absolutely loved every bit of the stay: breakfast by the lake, beach play, kayaking, pontoon and tubing adventures, hot tub dips, pool and water rides, cycling, making s’mores, watching fireworks by the bonfire, and of course, enjoying delicious ice cream. Every activity brought a smile to her face, and it was so heartwarming to witness her joy.

This getaway was long overdue for all of us — a much-needed break from the exhausting clinic and hospital routine. Along with Anaya, both we and our friends had an absolute blast and cherished every moment at the cabin.

Thank you again for creating such a memorable and healing experience. Your kindness and care truly made all the difference. We hope to visit again soon!
