We get asked a lot — “What’s in the name?”
Before there was a logo, a website, or an email address — we had a feeling. We were inspired by sisterhood. We shared a habit of finding beauty in unexpected places and then giving it another turn around the sun. When it came to choosing a name for our business, Celadon & Sage just stuck with us.
Celadon is the pale jade-green color of the pottery glaze of the same name, originating in Imperial China. It is the heirlooms, the treasures, and timeless craftsmanship of beautiful things passed down.
Sage is wisdom, cleansing, and healing. It’s every new beginning we celebrate with you, grounded in the support of family and friends and with the intentionality to care for the world around us.
When we set a table, we’re stitching the past to the present with pieces that have seen generation after generation of joyful celebration. Every plate in our collection is second-hand and second-chance, proving that beautiful events can be both personal and kind to the planet.
Together, Celadon & Sage is more than a name — It’s our shared language of the feminine and the joyful. Of gatherings with heart and soul. An expression of all the feelings that are hard to name.
