The Lake View Motor Speedway History Page on the website has officially been updated.
This update now features:
• Up-to-date Track Records across all divisions
• Track Champions from the Tripp Era (2018–Present) in all active divisions
• A complete All-Time Late Model Track Champions list from 1981 to present
• The All-Time Late Model Wins sheet — an ongoing effort to document every single Late Model feature winner in track history
This has been a major project built through thousands of newspaper archives, old scoring records, and historical research. The goal is simple — to preserve the history of Lake View Motor Speedway, recognize the drivers who built it, and make sure their accomplishments are never forgotten.
I truly believe that to build something successful, you have to understand where you came from. This is a big step toward doing exactly that.
That said, a disclaimer — this information is NOT 100% complete or perfect. There are still gaps due to missing or lost data over the years. You’ll notice some “Champion Unknown” seasons and races with unknown winners.
If you have any information, old results, photos, or records that could help fill in the blanks, it would be greatly appreciated. I want this to be as accurate and complete as possible, and any help goes a long way.
This isn’t just about the past — it’s about preserving the legacy of Lake View for future generations.
Take a look at the updated History Page below on the website under the Track Information tab and help us continue telling the full story. The All-Time Late Model wins sheet can be found at the bottom of the page by clicking the google doc link.
