I love taking pictures. I have a lot more to learn, and I learn so much on every single shoot I do. For the last several years I stopped doing photography as a business and have only done it for fun for family and friends. This last one was so much fun, with a whole new set of challenges (people everywhere…) Everybody talks about the cherry blossoms here in DC, and they are gorgeous…but in my opinion these magnolias are even better!

In April 2016 I took pre-deployment pictures for a fellow LRS spouse....This session turned into a pregnancy reveal session as they had JUST found out they were pregnant. Since then I have taken a maternity session with her and her sister (who was also pregnant) and then a maternity session when her husband returned home. This mama has my utmost respect. She found out at 20 weeks pregnant (while hubby was gone) that her little boy would need open heart surgery almost immediately after birth. He has not had an easy welcome to this world to say the least. He is a fighter and has overcome so much. I was so excited tonight to come full circle and get to take some pictures with baby Jackson in their arms!

Welcome home, Blake!! I had the privilege of taking their predeployment pics when they first found out they were pregnant, and then some of Lauren and her sister (also pregnant) while he was gone, and now finally he is home and they are getting ready to welcome baby boy into their family! I can't wait to meet him!
