1912 Bridal Fair 1912 Barn is hosting their first annual 1912 Bridal Fair September 20, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This isn't your typical bridal expo.

Permanently closed.

Located just outside of Decatur, Il, 1912 Barn is bringing vendors from all over Central Illinois to help you customize your wedding day- starting with the actual event being held in a barn! By joining us, we're hoping to walk you through your wedding day needs from start to finish with small businesses to help complete your day. At the end of the , you'll be able to walk away with plenty of vendors looking to make your day as special as you envision.

Engagement Time is upon us during the months of November and December. Take a look at the list below to start planning your special day. Don't fret if you'll be marrying in 6-9 months. Once a venue is secure the rest will fall in place with a little help from us. We know many great vendors who you can count on.

12 months before
Announce your engagement to family and friends and plan an engagement party
Place an engagement announcement in your local newspaper
Sign up for a wedding website to keep your guests informed about event details, area information, etc.
Work on the budget
Consider purchasing wedding planning software to organize everything, or hire a wedding planner to help secure contracts, etc.
Choose a wedding date – select a few days in case your first choice is booked
Choose a location and reserve your ceremony and reception site(s)
Begin a rough guest list and compile current addresses
Decide on who you’d like to have as your attendants, including your maid of honor and best man
Begin shopping for your wedding gown
Attend a local bridal show or two and jot down notes about any vendors you really liked
Purchase a wedding planning organizer or calendar to keep track of important dates and appointments (fittings, showers, etc.)
