WINTERFEST - 9th Annual WinterFest in the Village 2015

DATE: Saturday, December 12th from 4pm – 8:30pm

LOCATION: In the Heart of Newtown – On Church Street between Main and the railroad tracks. Please join us for this annual fun-filled family event, sponsored by the Newtown Business Association. Horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday characters and caroling by local children’s choirs will transform

the evening into an old town hallmark village atmosphere. The popular Mistletoe Mart and local food vendors will be under roof in a large tent making for a warm, festive atmosphere offering a large indoor seating area. There are plenty of activities for the little ones too, including face painting, cookie decorating, hot chocolate, a petting zoo and pictures with Santa. Claus will begin taking photos with your children at 4:30pm. Fire pits will be placed about for all to enjoy the warmth of the holiday spirit. The event is free to the public. Please join us as we continue this holiday tradition. The evening ends with a free iPad give-a-way and your family’s opportunity to participate in our large balloon luminary launch at 8:15pm. To our many visitors over the years,

Winterfest, a Newtown Business Association sponsored event, has been a staple of our great village for the last ten years. We have experienced so many great memories and want to thank everyone who has attended and shared their time with us each year.
However, after much discussion, we have come to the conclusion that we will be postponing our 2017 Winterfest. This was not an easy decision to come to however the Winterfest Committee, which is a subcommittee of the Newtown Business Association, along with the Executive Committee of NBA, and the Village of Newtown, have decided that there needed to be some time to reevaluate and research different options and resources so that our 2018 Winterfest can be everything we want it to be.

We understand that there may be questions, but we ask that you direct your questions to the Newtown Business Association. You can email us at [email protected].

As we close this chapter of Winterfest once again we want to say thank you for all those who came and visited and participated this year. We want to say thank you to all the committee members for making it a possibility. And a big thank you for Anderson Township Fire and Rescue for allowing us to use their facilities.
Have a Merry Christmas! and Happy New Year!
