From the laughter at the photo booth, to the dancing, giveaways, food & friendships being made throughout the evening, this event was a beautiful reminder that staying active & connected can be so much fun!

💃🕺 LOVE TO DANCE & WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE? 💛

Peninsula Dance Party is looking for volunteer Dance Hosts to help create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere at our dances by dancing with single attendees and helping everyone feel comfortable on the dance floor.

We are looking for volunteers who know how to lead the basic steps & a turn (minimum) for:
✨ Swing
✨ Rumba
✨ Cha Cha
✨ Hustle
✨ Waltz
✨ Foxtrot
✨ American Tango

🌟 Dance Host Volunteers will receive:
✔ Recognition badges at our dances
✔ Recognition on our page
✔ Monthly Sunday refresher lessons (optional)
✔ The opportunity to help others stay active, social, and connected through dance

No partner required — just a kind heart, patience, and a love for dancing, music, and community. 💛

Our dances are designed to create a fun and welcoming social experience for adults who enjoy ballroom dancing, connection, and an active lifestyle.

We’ve added more photos from our Peninsula Dance Party on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Quarterpath Recreation Center in Williamsburg — and what a beautiful afternoon it was!

Guests enjoyed a fun and welcoming line dance lesson with Cheryl Shortell and a beginner-friendly Foxtrot lesson with Regina Rose, followed by wonderful ballroom music provided by the ’s Colony Dance Band 🎶💃🕺

Both Line Dance & Foxtrot classes were active with guests, The Fords Colony Band filled the room with music as everyone enjoyed incredible refreshments from Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg and danced the afternoon away! We appreciated enjoying music & dancing the afternoon away with 62 guests yesterday for our final event of the year.
