💀 Looks like someone is already getting ready for the Peninsula Dance Party Halloween Dance…

Our newest guests are discussing what they’re going to wear, brushing up on their dance moves, and apparently having a little pre-party drink. 😂

Now the big question is… what are YOU going to be for Halloween? 🎃

We need some inspiration! Drop your costume idea in the comments — funny, spooky, glamorous, couples costume… we want to hear them all.

Line Dance Lesson: 2–3 PM
Dancing with the Earth Tones Band: 3–5 PM

🎟️ Admission is FREE, but don’t wait to register! Our dances can fill up, so register early and get it on your calendar now.

What an incredible night at the Peninsula Dance Party! 💃🕺

Everyone looked amazing—from our fabulous Pink Ladies and spirited swing dancers to all of our handsome leads! The outfits, smiles and energy made the evening so much fun.

Despite the storm that rolled in just before the dance, 96 guests traveled through the rain to join us! We are so grateful to everyone who attended, volunteered, supported the event or helped make the evening run smoothly.

A very special thank-you to our wonderful sponsors, Humana, InnovAge and Virginia Health Services. Their generous participation and support helped us create another successful Peninsula Dance Party at no cost to our attendees. We truly appreciate their commitment to helping active adults stay connected, make friends and keep dancing!

We’ll be sharing lots of photos from the evening—including our dancers, sponsors, volunteers and sponsor tables. If you captured any special moments, we would love for you to share your favorite pictures with us in the comments! ❤️

Registration is officially CLOSED! 💃🕺

We sincerely apologize to the dancers we’ve had to turn away. We wish we could welcome everyone, but space at the Moose Lodge is limited, and we want to keep the dance floor comfortable and enjoyable for those who registered. (If anyone needs to change their registration please contact us directly)

Our wonderful sponsors have helped us plan a great evening! A special thank-you to InnovAge Pace and Virginia Health Consulting Services for their participation and support. We truly appreciate them and look forward to a fun and memorable event together!

💙 Thank You, Linda & Chris Coolican 💙

It’s hard to imagine Peninsula Dance Party without seeing Linda leading a line dance or Chris behind the music making sure everyone has a great time.

For years, Linda and Chris Coolican have been incredible supporters, volunteers, and friends of our dance community. Their generosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to help wherever needed have touched countless lives and helped make Peninsula Dance Party the welcoming, joyful event it is today.

Linda has shared her love of dance by teaching line dances at many of our events, always encouraging others to step onto the floor, learn something new, and have fun. Her patience, kindness, and infectious energy have inspired so many dancers.

Chris has been our trusted DJ on numerous occasions, keeping the music flowing and helping create the atmosphere that brings our community together. Whether behind the sound board or lending a helping hand wherever needed, Chris has always been there with a smile and a servant's heart.

Together, they have given so much of themselves to our dance family. Their friendship, support, and big hearts have left a lasting impact that won't soon be forgotten.

As they prepare for an exciting new chapter in South Carolina and retirement this summer, we want them to know how deeply appreciated they are and how much they will be missed.

While we're sad to see them go, we're excited for all the adventures ahead and grateful for the memories we've shared. Peninsula Dance Party will always be a place where they are welcomed back with open arms.

Please join us in wishing Linda and Chris happiness, good health, and many wonderful years ahead.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make our Peninsula Dance Party Pool Party Dance such a wonderful success!

From the laughter at the photo booth, to the dancing, giveaways, food & friendships being made throughout the evening, this event was a beautiful reminder that staying active & connected can be so much fun!

💃🕺 LOVE TO DANCE & WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE? 💛

Peninsula Dance Party is looking for volunteer Dance Hosts to help create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere at our dances by dancing with single attendees and helping everyone feel comfortable on the dance floor.

We are looking for volunteers who know how to lead the basic steps & a turn (minimum) for:
✨ Swing
✨ Rumba
✨ Cha Cha
✨ Hustle
✨ Waltz
✨ Foxtrot
✨ American Tango

🌟 Dance Host Volunteers will receive:
✔ Recognition badges at our dances
✔ Recognition on our page
✔ Monthly Sunday refresher lessons (optional)
✔ The opportunity to help others stay active, social, and connected through dance

No partner required — just a kind heart, patience, and a love for dancing, music, and community. 💛

Our dances are designed to create a fun and welcoming social experience for adults who enjoy ballroom dancing, connection, and an active lifestyle.
