This business has a way of constantly stretching me, challenging me to grow, adapt, and overcome in ways I never expect.
This weekend was one of those weekends.
I decided to try a new balloon brand for a job, and the night before the install, while prepping, I realized one of the colors was completely off. Instead of inflating round, it kept blowing up in a teardrop shape, clearly a manufacturing issue. Sometimes that happens in this industry, and when it does, you have to pivot fast. I had to completely reimagine the design, use much less of that gold, and build smaller clusters just to make it work.
Then, in the middle of setup, while hanging the LED sign, it slipped from the fishing line and broke right at the top corner. Oh, did I mention I accidentally over booked myself today as well and have to work a wedding too?!
If I’m honest, this business teaches me daily that mistakes are part of growth. Sometimes it feels like I’m learning more through the hard moments than the easy ones. But every challenge is shaping me, refining me, and teaching me how to keep going.
And with Easter here, I can’t help but reflect on how deeply this mirrors faith.
We all make mistakes. We all fall short. But thank God for a loving Father who sent His Son to die on the cross for our sins, not so we would stay stuck in our failures, but so we could grow, be made new, and know Him more deeply.
Grace meets us in the mess.
Growth often comes through the struggle.
And beauty can still come from what almost fell apart.
So grateful for every client, every lesson, every challenge, and every opportunity to keep growing. ✝️✨🎈
