Oh heyyy 🤍

After nearly 5 years in business (yes, FIVE as of this July 🙈) it feels a little wild that I’ve never properly introduced myself as the face behind Under the Willow Events. So hi, I’m Katie 👋

This business means a whole lot to me, and its name is rooted in one of the most meaningful days of my life. My hubby and I got married peak COVID, on my parents’ back property, under the willow tree. It wasn’t the wedding we originally planned, but it was intentional, emotional, and perfect in a way I’ll never forget. That experience is a big part of why I care so deeply about the weddings I help bring to life these days.

Outside of weddings, I’m a wife and a mama to two sweet boys, ages 3 and 4 🤪 Life is full in the best way. When I’m not planning timelines or answering emails, you can usually find me working out, spending time with family&friends, shopping, crafting, daydreaming up travel plans or with my dogs. We have two German Shepherds and one very spoiled, chonky geriatric wiener dog 🐾

But Katie, what do you do if you happen to get a rare moment to yourself? Excellent question. There is a very good chance I’m holding an iced protein latte and dillydally-ing through the aisles of TJ Maxx 💁‍♀️ I’m just a girl!

In all seriousness, if you’re new here, welcome. I’m so happy you’re here. And if you’ve trusted me to be part of your wedding journey, just know it truly means the world to me.

This is your friendly reminder that your cake/dessert can be whatever you want! Traditional tiered cake, cutting cake with a dessert display, NO cake at all, a cutting cake with sheet cakes to be sliced and served to guests, the options are endless!

If you opt for a cutting cake, remember to decide beforehand if you want the remainder sliced and served OR saved for you to enjoy at a later date. I always ask my clients so I can make sure to box it up and store it away from the action if they want it saved. You’d be surprised how many guests try to help themselves if it’s left out 😮‍💨🤭
