The Hilt Estate (and Jonata) was another great stop for wonderful wine! Located with a view of cool-climate vineyards and the white diatomaceous earth that make great bubbly in the Champagne region, the sparkling here was one of several winning wines! was recommended by multiple people, and now I know why.

A gorgeous and (wine) geeky tour of Melville Estate Winery. Family owned, organic, and biodynamic vineyards and production, I told my wonderful wine guide to be as (wine) nerdy possible on my tour. Neither the wine nor the information disappointed. What a wonderful morning of vines and wine!

From beginning to end, Peake Ranch Winery was an amazing experience. Beautiful vistas, state-of-the-art production facilities, engaged and well-trained staff, and GREAT wine. This was my favorite stop on my recent wine trip.

Why, yes, after hot yoga I did put my fancy electrolyte water in a wine glass and “pair” it with quiche from the new French deli in Old Town. Delicious!
