Summertime at The Ellis.

Another week filled with music, movement, curiosity, conversation, and a little bit of wonder.

We kicked things off by welcoming the Hudson Valley tech and maker community into the building. Developers, artists, musicians, builders, and curious minds all sharing ideas, projects, and what’s next. It felt less like a meetup and more like the beginning of something.

Saturday night, House Play reminded us why house music has always been about people first. A room full of familiar faces and new ones moving together, looking out for one another, and letting the music do what it does best.

Then Sunday, HAÜS transformed the space once again. Yoga. Sound. Fashion. Art. Beneath stained glass as the afternoon turned to golden hour. Not nightlife. Daylife.

Three completely different experiences.
One building.

Thank you to everyone who came, performed, created, danced, collaborated, or simply showed up with an open mind.

This is exactly why The Ellis exists.

See you next week. ❤️

We’re excited to share another edition of our Live At The Ellis sessions, an ongoing series capturing artists in one of the Hudson Valley’s most beautiful listening rooms.

This time, we’re welcoming Bob Wagner.

For years, Bob has been one of those musicians you’ve probably heard without realizing it. The Burlington, Vermont guitarist has spent more than a decade playing alongside some of the Northeast’s most respected artists, earning a reputation as the player other musicians call when they need someone who simply gets it.

Now, with the release of his debut solo album, I’ve Been Down, he’s stepping out front.

The performance featured in this post is “Richest Man on Earth,” a song that captures exactly what Bob does best: honest songwriting, understated guitar work, and music that doesn’t need to shout to leave an impression.

If you love rooms where you can actually hear every lyric, every string, and every breath between songs, you’ll feel right at home.

Some conversations change your perspective.

Some introduce you to people who end up changing your life.

Conscious Connections is an afternoon for anyone looking to slow down, meet like-minded people, and explore spirituality, healing, and personal growth in an open, welcoming space.

Throughout the day you’ll find intuitive readers, Reiki practitioners, metaphysical vendors, motivational speakers, and thoughtful discussions centered around consciousness and authentic connection.

Whether you’re deeply immersed in this world or simply curious, you’re invited.

The Ellis Disco Series returns.

On Saturday, July 25, we step into the darker side of the dance floor.

Dark disco. Post-punk. New wave. Darkwave. Industrial. Synth pop. Music that lives somewhere between underground clubs, late-night discos, and the bands that never fit into one category.

Live performance by Lulu Lewis, followed by Midna Mayhem taking the room deep into the night with a dance floor built on goth classics, industrial rhythms, darkwave grooves, and everything in between.

The stained glass glows. The lights shift. The bass fills a century-old church that was never meant to stay quiet.

Just people finding each other through music.

If you’ve been looking for a place where the strange feels familiar, we’ll see you on the dance floor.

What a weekend.

We kicked things off Friday with AfterHours, where the dance floor stayed alive deep into the night. Huge thank you to DJ SALVØ, Finkerton, and Phillionaire for taking us on a journey from house and disco to bass-driven energy. Every set brought something different, and every person in the room added to the experience.

Then Saturday, we closed out Pride Month with Garden Disco Circus.

Under the stained glass and soaring ceilings of The Ellis, aerialists flew overhead while Flared Bass kept the room moving. Glitter, disco, circus fantasy, and a community that showed up exactly as themselves. It was everything we hoped our Pride finale would be.

While Pride Month has come to an end, Pride doesn’t. The Ellis will continue to be a space where everyone is welcome, celebrated, and free to express themselves every day of the year.

This weekend was also bittersweet as we said “see you soon,” not goodbye, to two people who have become part of the heart of The Ellis: Danny and Marina.

From long nights behind the scenes to countless moments helping make every event feel effortless, you’ve both left your mark on this place and on everyone who’s walked through these doors. Thank you for everything you’ve given to this community. We’ll miss seeing you every weekend, but you’ll always be part of The Ellis family.

To everyone who came out this weekend, thank you for dancing, celebrating, supporting local music, and making this place what it is.

Summer has officially begun, and we’re just getting started.

A full weekend at The Ellis.

Two experiences. One community.

Saturday night, July 11, House Play takes over the dance floor.

Created by Michael V and joined by Jess Here, House Play is built on the belief that house music is more than a genre. It’s a feeling. A sanctuary. A place where people can gather, connect, express themselves, and dance without pressure, judgment, or pretense.

Expect a carefully crafted journey through Afro, Latin, funk, and disco-infused house music, with two distinct peaks throughout the night. One for the early dancers and another for those who stay until the final track.

Then on Sunday afternoon, July 12, HAÜS returns.

Yoga. Sound journey. Fashion. Art. Aerial performance. Afro house. Jazz house. Techno.

We begin with intention and move into rhythm. What starts as a wellness experience evolves into a vibrant daytime celebration of music, movement, and community.

From the dance floor on Saturday night to the yoga mat on Sunday afternoon, this is a weekend dedicated to connection, creativity, self-expression, and joy.
