Hey NY Peeps!
Guess who’s rollin’ back into town for a quick pit stop? That’s right — me! I’m back in NY for a little tune-up (for both my ride and my body). Gotta keep everything running smooth, ya know?

This Thursday, I’m making the rounds in Newburgh:

🕑 11 AM – The Wherehouse: Midday snack… brunch because why not?
🦪 4–8PM – Blue Pointe Happy Hour: $1 oysters?? Someone confirm — I’ve been joanzin’ since I left. I’ll be there till about 8PM before I head back to Accord (yes, over the mountains before dark like a good lil’ nomad).

I’ve been so excited to share these! As many of you know, I absolutely love photographing high school seniors. I had the honor of capturing Ryan Rauschenbach’s senior portraits this year. Fun fact: I also photographed his brother’s portraits when he graduated two years ago!

It means so much when families return to me for such special moments, and I always offer discounts to show my appreciation. Ryan is part of the Class of 2025 at Wallkill High School, and I strive to make every session unique, fun, and truly memorable.

Yesterday, I had an unforgettable experience at Graceland. I’ve always loved Elvis—his style, his flair, and, of course, his music. After touring his home, I realized just how much we shared when it came to taste and aesthetic. Elvis was an extraordinarily gifted and generous individual.

I ended up spending five hours at Graceland, and even then, I didn’t want to leave. I took so many photos, but I wanted to share this one of his iconic 1955 custom-painted pink Cadillac. This car played a significant role during his years as a performer and on tour. Later, he gave it to his mother, fulfilling a promise he made to her—that when he “made it,” he would buy her a house and a Cadillac.

Interestingly, it brought back memories of my younger years when I was a Cadillac enthusiast myself. Over the years, I owned a 1976, a 1986, and a 1999 model. This connection made the visit all the more special!

My Journey - Photography

In 2013, I captured a stunning moment during my recognition as one of Lifetouch's top photographers in the U.S. This image, shared with Jenifer Hudson, embodies her natural light photography style. Using the play of light and shadows, we harnessed the beauty of natural elements. Taken with my Nikon, possibly the D-40, this photo, untouched by Photoshop, I think I did add only a texture which highlights the artistry in shadows on the wall and the ethereal glow through the window, showcasing innocence with a touch of allure.

More exciting for me was to work with someone who inspired me and I didn’t even know I would have this opportunity. Imagine my surprise and her and I spoke and collaborated together- which was an honor!!
