A little whimsy for an intimate garden party in the Hudson Valley. 🌸

I was given complete creative freedom for this one, and had so much fun playing with unexpected combinations of color, texture, and shape.

Every flower was locally sourced through the Hudson Valley Flower Collective, making the most of all the beautiful varieties our local growers have to offer this season.

I love how each arrangement took on a personality of its own while still feeling like part of the same collection.

A big thank you to and all the growers who made these flowers possible!

A summer-inspired tablescape at Caramoor, with a little Italian countryside influence.

When I first saw the Italian Pavilion in person, I knew I wanted the floors to influence the floral direction. Between the multicolored geometric tile, the buttery walls, and the soft blue ceiling, there was already so much color and character to pull from.
I wanted the flowers to bring another layer to the space without competing with what was already there. The yellow oncidium was inspired by the yellow moments throughout the floor tiles, bringing it up onto the table in a way that felt light and summery. I balanced it with softer peach tones and small touches of deeper color, letting the existing palette guide the florals without matching it exactly.

I loved how it all felt vibrant and a little unexpected, while still feeling just right within the setting.

You don’t need to come to your florist with every detail already decided. (I actually prefer that you don’t.)

Your inspiration, preferences, and the things you’re drawn to are an important part of the process, but so is leaving room for those ideas to develop.

Part of my job as your floral designer is to take what you bring me and consider it alongside your venue, the season, and the atmosphere you want to create.

The best designs come from collaboration, not from having every answer before we begin. 🤍

You don’t need a perfectly defined vision to begin the conversation.

Sometimes knowing how you want your wedding to feel is more useful than knowing exactly what you want it to look like.

A few images you love, thoughts about the atmosphere you want to create, your venue, your season, and the things that matter most to you can give me plenty to start with.

From there, we can begin shaping those ideas into a floral design that feels cohesive, personal, and connected to the wedding as a whole.

You don’t need to have it all figured out before you reach out.
That’s part of what the design process is for. 💫

You don’t have to perform your way through your wedding.
The goal isn’t to impress every guest, recreate someone else’s celebration, or prove you made the “right” choices.

✨The goal is to create a day that feels true to you.✨

That might mean abundance. It might mean something more pared back and subtle. What matters is that the choices feel connected, personal, and true to you.
There’s no single formula for meaningful.

If this is the kind of wedding you want to create, follow along! We talk about thoughtful, personal design here. 💫 💫

The details matter. But the real magic happens when they feel like they belong together.

The flowers, the candlelight, the tablescape, the setting- all of these contribute to the atmosphere you’re creating. And when they’re designed as part of the same cohesive story, the result becomes so much more than a collection of beautiful things.

It becomes a reflection of you. 🤍

Save this as a reminder as you’re making decisions for your wedding.

P.S. Watch out that you don’t upset me, because I might make you an enragement instead of an arrangement. 👹

New series: Conversations with an Introverted Florist. ✨

I don’t love being on camera. BUT I’m doing this anyway because there’s a lot about wedding planning nobody actually walks couples through — and you need to know!
Every week I’ll get into what actually matters before you book anyone:

•how to know if a florist’s the right fit
•what you can stop worrying about and
•what the process actually looks like

Follow along- it’ll be an informative, funny (?), and bumpy ride!

There comes a point in wedding planning where every beautiful image starts to blur together.
You save another ceremony. Another bouquet. Another reception.
Somehow, instead of feeling more confident, you feel even less certain.
I don’t think that’s because you need more inspiration.
I think it’s because you’re trying to build a wedding from individual ideas instead of a clear vision.
One of the first conversations I have with couples rarely starts with flowers.
It starts with questions like:
“How do you want guests to feel when they arrive?”
“What do you want to remember most about your day?”
Those answers become the foundation for everything that follows.
When you lead with a feeling instead of a Pinterest board, your wedding naturally becomes more personal because it’s built around you, not someone else.

✨Save this for the next time you’re scrolling for inspiration, and come back to it when everything starts feeling the same.

✨If you’re planning a wedding that you want to feel deeply personal, you’ll find more planning insights like this here.
