Hope to see everyone on June 15 for the Community Yard Sale.

Heads up everyone. Next Saturday, June 15, is our Community Yard Sale. Last month got rained out so we are crossing our fingers that the weather cooperates for June. The sale is held in front of the town Maintenance Shop, located next door to The Newborn Schoolhouse. The sale runs from 8-2 and is only $10 for a booth space. Bring your own tables and chairs and a tent for shade. No preregistration necessary, just show up and set up. A Schoolhouse volunteer will come by your booth mid-morning to collect your $10. You are welcome to sell yard-sale items, antiques, homemade items and crafts. So spend this week cleaning out your house, garage, barn and closets or get crafty and make something to sell. The more vendors we have the more cars will stop and we all tend to buy from each other as well. Your junk is someone’s treasure so come spend the 15th hanging out with us. The next yard sale is not until September so make sure to plan to be with us next Saturday. If you don’t want to sell come by and shop. We’d love to see you!

Register today! Mark your calendar to attend this year's Hornyhead Festival on April 27 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Bring your Classic Vehicle.

And don't forget, our first Community Wide Yard Sale is this Saturday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Maintenance Shop next door to The Newborn Schoolhouse. It's only $10 per booth and free to all Hornyhead Festival Vendors. Just show up, set up (bring your own tent/tables/chairs) and we'll be around mid-morning to collect your $10 booth fee. And since The Newborn Schoolhouse isn't rented on Saturday morning, bathrooms will be available. So plan to sell or plan to shop but plan to be there Saturday morning!

Mark your calendar and gather your “treasures” for our first of the year Community Yard Sale. It will be held on Saturday, April 20 from 8-2 at the Town of Newborn Maintenance Shop, located next door to The Newborn Schoolhouse. It’s only $10 for a booth, free if you are a registered vendor at the 2024 Hornyhead Festival. So clean out your attic and closets and make room for all the treasures you’ll buy at the Hornyhead Festival on April 27. All you have to do is show up on the morning of April 20 and set up your stuff. You supply the tables and chairs, we supply the location. 142 has a lot of traffic on Saturdays so the more booths we have, the more people who will stop to look and shop.

Hello Everyone. Join us this Sunday afternoon for our last Bingo Event until next fall. And don’t forget to mark your calendars for The 2024 Hornyhead Fish Festival and Tournament on April 27. It’s not too late to sign up to be a vendor at this year’s festival. Go to the Town of Newborn website and click on Events. There you’ll see the Festival link which has the signup page for vendors.

Hi Everyone,

Don't forget this Saturday, February 24, is Arbor Day at The Newborn Schoolhouse. There will be live music, free lunch courtesy of Mansfield Marketplace, tree climbing courtesy of Arbor Equity, free seedlings and free 3 gallon trees (one per family.) Join us for a fun-filled time. The celebration runs from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

And also join us this Sunday, February 25, for bingo at The Newborn Schoolhouse. Great prizes and good times. Bingo cards are only $3 each. Bingo begins at 3:00 p.m. and lasts until 4:30 p.m.

Don’t forget!!!!! This Sunday, January 28 from 3 pm - 4:30 pm is "Regifting Bingo." Bring a wrapped "gift" (brown bag it, wrap in paper, whatever) that you received for the holidays that just wasn't your idea of your favorite present. We will trade you your gift for a free bingo card. (Limit of two free cards per person) We will then use those wrapped gifts as our bingo prizes.

The Newborn Schoolhouse has many exciting things planned for 2024. Mark your calendars for the following dates so that you don't miss out on a few of the ones coming soon:

Sunday, January 28 from 3 pm - 4:30 pm is "Regifting Bingo." Bring a wrapped "gift" (brown bag it, wrap in paper, whatever) that you received for the holidays that just wasn't your idea of your favorite present. We will trade you your gift for a free bingo card. (Limit of two free cards per person) We will then use those wrapped gifts as our bingo prizes for the afternoon.

Saturday, February 24 is Newborn's Arbor Day at the schoolhouse. Program, kid's activities, music, free trees and saplings, and free lunch! 11 am - 1 pm

Saturday, April 27 from 9 am - 3 pm is The Annual Newborn Hornyhead Fish Festival and Tournament. Our new website is up and running and we are now accepting vendors for the festival. We plan for lots of vendors, a fishing tournament, music, a car show, loads of fun and beautiful weather.
