8 YEARS. 🥂✨Perseverance of A Business Owner
Eight years in the event design industry has taught me that entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart. Definitely spiritual as I've said before💫
There have been some HIGH highs and some LOW lows. Moments when I felt proud of what I was building, and moments when I questioned whether I should keep building it at all (me currently.)
Because let's be honest… there are days when you look at the workload, the expenses, the competition, the long hours, the sacrifices, the disappointments, and the uncertainty and ask yourself:
“Is this really worth it?”
And then there are those moments when you step back and remember WHY you started.
That’s where perseverance comes in.
Being a business owner requires more than creativity and talent. It requires a mind that can withstand the moments when things don't go according to plan. It requires the ability to take a loss without allowing that loss to convince you that you ARE a failure.
I've had to learn how to find the middle ground between “Why should I give up?” and “Why should I stay?”
Sometimes staying doesn't mean pretending everything is okay.
Sometimes staying means adjusting the plan.
Sometimes it means resting.
Sometimes it means changing direction.
Sometimes it means admitting that something isn't working and finding a better way.
And sometimes… it simply means getting back up the next day and trying again.
Because quitting on a hard season and quitting on your dream are two completely different things.
Eight years later, I'm still learning. Still evolving. Still refining my craft. Still figuring out what works and what doesn't.
But most importantly…
I'M STILL HERE. I AM STILL HERE!
And that alone is something worth celebrating. 🩷
To every entrepreneur who has ever sat in their car, stared at their calendar, questioned their purpose, or wondered if they had what it takes to keep going...
You are not weak because you're tired.
You are not failing because it's hard.
And you don't have to have it all figured out to keep moving forward.
Sometimes perseverance looks like pushing forward.
Sometimes it looks like pausing long enough to breathe.
But either way…
DON'T COUNT YOURSELF OUT. I KNOW I'M NOT!
Eight years in, I'm still choosing to believe that there's more ahead for me, my business, and the vision God placed in my heart.
And I'm pressing forward.
One event.
One lesson.
One opportunity.
One day at a time. 🥂✨
