Anything you open up about with a narcissist can and will be weaponized against you when the time is right.
Nothing is safe. Nothing is sacred. Not even the things you whispered in your most vulnerable moments.
Because what felt like intimacy was actually intelligence gathering. Every fear you shared, every insecurity you trusted them with, every wound you exposed because you believed you were finally safe enough to — was quietly filed away. Not with malice you could see. With a smile. With "thank you for trusting me." With the kind of warmth that made you feel seen for the very first time.
That warmth was the trap.
Because a narcissist doesn't collect your vulnerabilities to protect them. They collect them to use them. And they are extraordinarily patient about when. It might not happen today or this month or even this year. But the moment you challenge them, expose them, try to leave them, or simply stop being useful — everything you ever confided becomes am******on. Your childhood trauma becomes a punchline. Your deepest insecurities become weapons. The things you were most ashamed of get delivered back to you with surgical precision at the exact moment designed to cause maximum damage.
They waited. They remembered. They aimed.
This is why healing from narcissistic abuse takes longer than people understand. It's not just the relationship you're recovering from. It's the total violation of having your own vulnerability turned into a weapon against you by the exact person you trusted to hold it carefully.
You weren't too open. You were just open with the wrong person.
Guard your heart like the sacred thing it is. 👑
