Narrow Rooms teams up with Folsom Street East in September to present a program of documentary shorts about men exploring what it means to live their fullest, kinkiest lives. These films balance the whimsy and joy of the fe**sh lifestyle with provocative questions about masculinity, politics, desire and relationships.
Sterling Hampton IV’s MERMAN is a portrait of a Black leather title holder in Los Angeles who finds freedom in both leather gear and a mermaid tail. THE HANDYMAN is an erotically-charged music video for a little-known C+C Music Factory song starring Brazilian director Fabio Leal’s current erotic obsession: his handyman. In THE EDDIES, director Angelo Madsen Minax cruises secret flood tunnels in Memphis by day, but spends his nights cruising Craigslist looking for men for a uniquely American type of fe**sh p**n scene. NYC based kink party organizer and artist Peter Cage’s BREAKFAST TIME features the director discussing his relationship with a dominant who insists he prepare his breakfast in a very unusual way. Closing the evening is Carson Parish’s MR. BOUND & GAGGED, an epic experimental portrait of Bob Wingate and Lee Clauss, who together spread their love of B**M to the masses for over thirty years through their seminal p**nographic publication Bound & Gagged. Twenty years later, the two New Yorkers visit Chicago to go through their personal collections at the Leather Archives & Museum (LA&M), where they rediscover troves of stories from their lives making p**n.
