It's taken a couple of days to recover from AMOC, but I'm here to say that A Murder of Crows Festival 2024 was a major success and here is why:
First, the artists agreed to work with us and join the fest lineup. They really put it all out there for all to see. I am grateful to The March Violets, Kite, The Bellwether Syndicate, Frank The Baptist Official, 1919, Bootblacks, Rosegarden Funeral Party, Christ vs. Warhol, Lathe of Heaven and The Neuro Farm, and The Hunt who were our special pre-party performer. What a line-up!
Second, we also had a ton of DJs fly in from all over. All legends in their own right. Each bringing their own sound and ideas to the dancefloor. Mad love to my DJ family Martin Oldgoth, Dave Bats, Patrick Cusack, Hi-Fi Hillary, Mark Moritat Splatter, DJ Mortasha Kinski, DJ Kangall, DJ Cinis, DJ Mistress McCutchan, DJ AsuraSunil, Detra, Dj H A T E Mior & Matt V Christ (we missed you Ralphie Nigma). We had 4 nights of dancing and not a beat was spared!
Third, I need to thank the people behind the scenes, who really made it all look professional and really cared about the details. I bow to Natasha, our PR guru, Hillary, our DJ wrangler, Matt, our production manager, Kristina, Eden and Kitty, our merch folks, and George Grant for saving the DJ room with his PA system while on bass duty for 1919 (he killed it btw); Tony for tracking down the cymbal for 1919, Avril who made the gorgeous CROW soaps and Kevin, our amazing, intrepid, photo documentarian (photos coming soon).
Fourth and certainly not last, the staff at Brooklyn Made made our return to Brooklyn one for the books. Each person was professional, efficient and on top of their game while being kind and accommodating with everyone's requests. Equally great were the staff at TV Eye NYC who were stellar.
To everyone who attended we are grateful for your passion and beauty - this was truly a celebration of not just Music but of friendship
