Good morning from China! LOL. We just love our 6am lessons these days! I never knew how 5am or 6am lessons can be so productive until Miss Clara is currently operating from East Asia for a few weeks while she's visiting family and organizing some upcoming musical projects on this land coming up soon - stay tuned and how grateful we are to have technology to not need to skip a beat with our regular lessons wherever time zones we are in!

It’s nothing. It’s also something. Always grateful to be recognized! ☺️🏆🎹

RMS students have all been doing well — some have been with us for over 10 years now and continue to work so smart! 🌟 🌟 🌟

They are responsible, humble, curious and intelligent young musicians, and I just always feel so honored to be their teacher!

And this award comes in once in a while without us trying hard. I haven’t been promoting our studio as much in the last couple of years mostly because we’ve been grounding ourselves with consistent and good work, and didn’t feel like we need to show off too much.

However, as we are getting ready for our first in-person recital in 3 years (can’t believe we used to do 17 recitals a year at one point:), this award comes timely to remind me to keep fighting the good fight! For the sake of our young musicians’ continuous success and the unstoppable crave for classical music training in the generations to come!

We continue on with our big plans to build our one day at a time! Until then, I am grateful to be reminded that when we work hard day after day, the universe does pay attention! 🌍 💫 🎶

Can’t wait to share clips of our upcoming recital prep videos with our IG friends in the next 6 weeks as we get ready for !

What a lovely time it was co-hosting and performing as half of The Piano Pod duo with dear Yukimi Song/ Yukimi Song Studio LLC!

🎅🏼🎄Happy December!
To celebrate this special holiday season (post-COVID), my colleague, & is joining & to perform LIVE 🎹in Bushwick, Brooklyn, this Friday (TONIGHt), 12/9/2022, at 7:30 pm for the new season of our SALON series! Thank you SO much my wonderful friends for bringing us into your beautiful building!!!

We are performing 4-hand duet pieces by Philip Glass, Claude Debussy, and Pyotr Tchaikovsky, as well as solo pieces by J.S. Bach, Isaac Albeniz, and more!

Hey kids, let’s go practice underwater !! 🌊 😝

A sunken grand piano, that lies hidden beneath the crystal blue waters of the Bahamas… 🎹🌊

Titled ‘The Musician’, this artwork was created by British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor and is constructed mainly out of Grade 316 stainless steel.

Depicting a mermaid and a piano, the submerged sculpture was commissioned in 2011 by American illusionist David Copperfield, who dropped the artwork into the waters on the north side of his private island in the Bahamas, where it sank between 13-15 feet to the ocean floor.

The sculpture was born after Copperfield started a contest, challenging divers to find the piano, as from the water’s surface, the keyboard can be difficult to spot. Those who do find it though, and can hold their breath long enough, dive down to the bench to photograph themselves playing this underwater instrument alongside a mermaid duet partner.

While the piano is unplayable, the instrument does emit soft classical music, which Taylor describes as “similar to the sound of a whale or dolphin”.
