Lost Language Spotlight

Founded in summer 2000 as the trance offshoot of legendary UK label Hooj Choons, Lost Language quickly became a home for quality progressive and melodic trance with real depth and diversity.

Led by Ben Lost, the label mixed established Hooj names (Tilt, Solarstone., Lustral) with emerging talent. Early unknowns who cut their teeth here include Markus Schulz, James Holden, and Gareth Emery — a testament to its sharp A&R.

After Ben stepped away in 2005, the focus shifted toward artist albums from the likes of Space Manoeuvres, Santiago Niño, Tilt, and Leama & Moor. He returned in 2012, inspired by free-party scenes, with a mission to revive the deeper, more authentic trance aesthetics that had been pushed aside.
