🥕 Join us tomorrow, Saturday, August 30th, 2025, from 9am to 1pm for a beautiful day at Deep Roots Farmers Market! We have very nice line-up for tomorrow's market, including 3 great new market vendors joining us.

Jonelle Watson owner of MsSauce Plates is new to our market and will be offering a variety of products including juices & cake pops, paintings, candles, handmade soap!

In addition, Alex Mariana owner of Seeder Squares will also be joining the market selling custom made planter boxes & succulents.

Lastly, Marty & Xiaoqing Rosengarten owners of Blessing's Artisan Bakery is also new to the market offering exquisite treats such as croissants, brioche, babka (chocolate bread) and more. They are also in the process of opening a new bakery & cafe in Glen Cove at 82 School Street, be sure to stop by their market booth!

I had a blast at Showcase Kitchens annual Back The Blue BBQ organized by my friend John Starck in support of The Nassau County Police Department. Members from the 6th Precinct, Highway Patrol, Canine, Narcotics, Detective and Swat Division stopped by. Town Supervisor Jennifer DeSena stopped by Showcase Kitchens and enjoyed food from both MsSauce Plates and Louie's Manhasset !

A year ago, today on Juneteenth, I decided to invest in myself and embark on this journey of entrepreneurship. It has been such a rewarding, fulfilling, tiresome, non-stop whirlwind of opportunity and growth. I have been placed in rooms and built relationships with vital people who pour into me and my vision.

I was given the opportunity to Cater for the Nassau County Office of Minority Affairs after one conversation with Alicia Williams, the Director of Special Projects. Alicia helped me write my very first proposal to feed 200 people at the Yes, We Can Center.

Pam Douglas Program Coordinator, registered me as a Nassau County Vendor and answered every single call, email and question I sent her way.

La Lukes has consistently put me in rooms with elected officials, banks, fellow business members and community leaders. She has also invited me to participate in multiple workshops to build my business, and to collectively volunteer in the community that we serve.

Maxine Cappel Mayreis President of the Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce has invested in abundance in my dream and afforded me the opportunity to utilize a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen.

All God sent! I am humble, grateful and anxious to see what the next year brings.

MsSauce Plates participated in Queens Centers for Progress Evening of Fine Food at Terrace on the Park! Guests sampled gourmet delicacies provided by dozens of restaurants and chefs. Funds raised from this special event enable Queens Centers for Progress to provide resources, programs, and services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. From providing educational and therapeutic services to a small group of children, QCP has grown to become a major provider of services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Queens County and the New York metropolitan area for nearly 75 years.
