Strictly for the music An after thought now, with all of the regular events featuring this talent, but back then it was a revelation. No frills. No Pretense.

Tru Skul was inspired in it's inception to feature the best emerging and established djs, mostly from Detroit and Chicago, on Saturday nights in NYC. Flamingo East was where the humble beginnings and the earnest belief that the Detroit and Chicago sounds, house or techno, were indeed palatable in NYC. In the first season, winter 2000, featured DJs included:
Theo Parrish, DBX, Alton Miller, Metro A

rea, Todd Sines, Titonton Duvante, Herbert, Anthony Shake Shakir, Robert Hood, Suburban Knight, Traxx, GEMINI, Heckle and Jeckle(Billibob and Paris Da Black FU), Jay Deham, Abacus, Michael Huckaby, Rolando, Boo Williams and a few others...

And now we begin again. This is simply about the music.
