It’s Not About the Fish

He was thinking of “Chum” — the goldfish he won at a school fair that lived to be 11. (Yes, really!)

And somehow, I pulled that memory straight from his mind.
In front of his entire team at their town hall.

His reaction? “That’s CRAZY.”
Because no one in that room could’ve possibly known what he was thinking about.

Moments like this are why companies bring me in — not just to entertain, but to create something people feel.

“From Uncertainty to Unforgettable: How One Hedge Fund Offsite Became an Experience They’ll Never Forget” 🤯

When the CCO of this hedge fund booked me for their offsite in NYC, he’d never hired a mentalist before, nor had he ever planned an event like this. His team was flying in from Baltimore, and he wanted something special—but wasn’t sure what to expect.

After just a couple of minutes of my performance, he relaxed, knowing his team was fully engaged and having a great time. He could finally enjoy the evening, confident that the event was in good hands. At the end of the night, he told me, “You said I’d have nothing to worry about and you were right. This was AMAZING!”

Here’s a snapshot of the night: I revealed one guest’s daughter’s name—Analise—without her ever saying a word. This team shared a moment they’ll always remember and went back home more bonded than before their event.

Happy Pi Day! In my memory workshop I use Pi as a tool to teach advanced memory techniques. It takes about 7 minutes for my students to learn how to recall the first 50 digits. The rest of the number takes infinitely more time!
