Millie Peartree Catering

Millie Peartree Catering Millie Peartree Cupcakes & More Millieʼs late mother took great pride and pleasure in making people happy through food, and developed the same passion.

Millie Peartree Cupcakes & More was Founded by Millie Peartree in 2009 and inspired by her mother Millie Bell and her time growing up in the south. Millieʼs petite indulgences have big southern flavors that carry on her familyʼs tradition of creating happiness and joyful memories through food. Millieʼs unique variety of 22 different flavored cupcakes-which include red velvet, mint condition, raspber

ry lemonade, banana pudding, pineapple upside down and carrot cake-are all about enjoying unique, mouthwatering desserts in moderation. As a child, Millie was always in the kitchen, helping her parents prepare meals for the family. When Millie was eight years old a recipe arrived in the mail. Millie was ecstatic when her mother let her take charge of the family meal. Millie still remembers the goose bumps from her motherʼs smile and approval after she cooked and served that meal. From that point on, Millie would try any and every recipe she could get her hands on just to get that smile from her mother again. She quickly realized that she was developing a true passion for cooking. Millieʼs mother also stressed to her daughter the value of an education. After high school, Millie attended college, and though no pots, pans or spatulas were needed for her major, she never lost the desire to cook. Unfortunately, in 2002, her mother was diagnosed with colon cancer and four years later lost her battle with the disease. Millie then took responsibility for her four siblings, two of whom are autistic. As she was embracing her new care giving role, she realized that she needed to be at home, cooking and comforting her family with the food they grew up with. As time passed her desire to cook remained strong, Millie knew that this was the way she could comfort herself and bring happiness to others. After Millie entered a bake off and won best in show with her mini red velvet cupcakes, the rest, as they say, "is history". Today, Millie Peartree Cupcakes & More is a growing business that can accommodate anything from simple dinner parties with friends to childrenʼs parties and even large corporate events. She recently partnered with Mary J. Bligeʼs and Steve Steve Stouteʼs nonprofit organization FFAWN (The Foundation for the Advancement of Woman Now) and was recognized with their annual "Rising Phoenix" award, which is a grant that recognizes the achievements of rising entrepreneurs. Millie also created cupcakes for Leigh Blake and Alicia Keysʼ Keep A Child Alive Black Ball and the VH1 Save The Music Gala. Millie is no stranger to the social scene either- her mini-cupcakes have been a huge hit at celebrity birthday parties for the likes of Steve Stoute, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz. Additionally, Taraji Henson, Tyson Beckford, Whoopi Goldberg, Gayle King, Naomi Campbell. Jay-Z, Beyonce and Dr. Oz are just a few of the other celebrities who have had the pleasure of enjoying the great homemade flavors of Millieʼs Cupcakes.

I teamed up again with my wonderful friends to create a summery virgin strawberry margarita using alcohol free tequila. You may ask what does alcohol free tequila taste like? Alcohol free booze has the taste and aromatics of liquor with the same “kick”. Hope you enjoy and please continue to support my Full Heart Full Bellies Initiative to help bridge the hunger gap for children in the Bronx! LINK IN BIO 💚🍐

Let me first give ALL glory to God, as he has blessed my mind, body and soul to give me strength to spearhead this initiative. I can honestly say this has been the LEAST stressful project I have worked on to date. You know why? Because of our AMAZING partners.. THANK YOU to and ALL of our donors, contributors and volunteers. When we said we were going to feed children of my home town y’all showed up and showed out. Starting Monday July 6, 2020- Friday August 28, 2020 (every Monday, Wednesday, Friday) my babies can pick up a FULLY composed meal from any of the units listed below from 12:00pm-2:00pm. We respectfully ask that you practice social distancing (give your fellows 6 feet) and you MUST WEAR A MASK. We have reached 50% of our funding goal and are still accepting donations to keep this initiative going. LINK IN BIO. WITH MUCH GRATITUDE 💚🍐

Delish invited me to celebrate Soul Food History Month with my authentic in flavor New Orleans Po’ Boy Sandwich.

What is a Po' boy? A Po’ Boy is a traditional sandwich from Louisiana. It almost always consists of meat, which is usually roast beef or fried seafood, often shrimp, crawfish, fish, oysters or crab. The meat is served on New Orleans French bread (couldn’t find French Bread, so I hit up the bodega, if ingredients are unavailable please use what is accessible) known for its crisp crust and fluffy center- please fell free to get that crisp by toasting in the oven.
if you are preparing this for my little friends or you don’t have enough shrimp , slice them down the back the way you would normally butterfly the shrimp and cut all the way through! Some folks like to eat the tails, it’s option whether or not to remove . 🍤 🥖 🥬 🍅
