From growing up in a family of dancers 🩰 to dancing D1 at American University, Colleen’s dance journey has taken her everywhere ✈️ teaching across the country with NDA, choreographing circus + trapeze shows at Club Med in Florida & Turks & Caicos 🌴✨, and now right here with DanceWorks NYC! 🎉

This is Colleen’s 5th season with DWNYC 🖐️ and she’s cutting loose to FOOTLOOSE for her 4th piece hitting the stage. 🤠 We can’t wait to see her vision come to life in Season 25. 💥

Spotlight on Angie pulling at our heart strings 💞with this rope which was used as a prop in her peice “Torn” from the Season 24 DanceWorks New York CIty Project ✨Now on YouTube✨

This rope embodied the tension, struggle, and opposition between forces. The push and pull, straining at both ends, caught in the give and take, resistance, being wrapped up, or being pulled taut with purpose. When you watch this prop in action with the choreography - you’ll find all the metaphoric uses in action. 💫
