Today I'm announcing release of the first single of my upcoming album Sabado Especial. Slated for fall 2026 After a long time sitting with the damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't reality of this industry — upload to a DSP and earn .000000000001 per stream after a 1000 streams, meanwhile the platform's employees make astronomically more than almost every artist on it and they couldnt find c on a piano even if it was marked with sticky note , or release on Bandcamp and risk nobody hearing it — I made my choice. It takes too much money, time, energy, and sacrifice to make quality music to just hand it over to an empire that doesn't respect or value its creators. Sustainability for artists has never been a priority or intention of any of the DSPs.
That doesn't sit right with me. So I'm taking the long road. The quiet one. The direct one. No DSPs. Not for a while — maybe not ever.
