On April 8th, Junzi Kitchen Chef Lucas Sin and Jonathan Wu of Nom Wah Tu took a deep dive into New York’s longstanding relationship with Chinese foodways. Inspired by a poem found in a 1890s menu from at Mon Lay Won (billed as “Chinese Delmonico”), we curated a 7-course dinner salon, tracing the evolution of Chinese food in New York from the 19th century until today.
